Universal Pictures have released this brand new international trailer for Little Fockers, the third film in the Meet the Parents series. To be honest with you this was my face while watching the trailer :-[ ……it looks so unfunny. The joke that the ‘Fockers’ surname is one letter away from a swear word has already gone to the redundant school of redundancy for the chronically redundant. The cast is pretty stacked with talent in Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Jessica Alba, Laura Dern, Harvey Keitel, Teri Polo and Barbra Streisand, hopefully some fine performances will be it’s saving grace.

The test of wills between Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) and Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) escalates to new heights of comedy in the third installment of the blockbuster series—Little Fockers. Laura Dern, Jessica Alba and Harvey Keitel join the returning all-star cast for a new chapter of the worldwide hit franchise. It has taken 10 years, two little Fockers with wife Pam (Teri Polo) and countless hurdles for Greg to finally get “in” with his tightly wound father-in-law, Jack. After the cash-strapped dad takes a job moonlighting for a drug company, however, Jack’s suspicions about his favorite male nurse come roaring back. When Greg and Pam’s entire clan—including Pam’s lovelorn ex, Kevin (Owen Wilson)—descends for the twins’ birthday party, Greg must prove to the skeptical Jack that he’s fully capable as the man of the house. But with all the misunderstandings, spying and covert missions, will Greg pass Jack’s final test and become the family’s next patriarch… or will the circle of trust be broken for good? The film was directed by Paul Weitz (American Pie, About a Boy). Little Fockers hits theaters on December 22nd, 2010.

Above is the debut poster for Meet The Parents: Little Fockers. The last film in the trilogy was not funny at all for me, it was saved by some good performances but overall I wasn’t a fan. The joke that the surname is one letter away from a swear word has already gone to the redundant school of redundancy for the chronically redundant. The film did make a truckload of money – $516,642,939 – £8.00 of that mine so I guess it makes business sense. There’s no shortage of talent on board with Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Jessica Alba, Laura Dern, Harvey Keitel, Teri Polo and Barbra Streisand making up the cast, hopefully some fine performances will be it’s saving grace.

Paramount have played the role of captain obvious and finally confirmed what we all pretty much knew after Les Grossman’s heavy involvement in the MTV Movie Awards (and the fact that Tom Cruise had pretty much spilled the beans a few days earlier). Paramount Pictures and MTV Films announced that they are set to develop a movie around mega-producer Les Grossman. This is good news for me, Les Grossman was the best thing about Tropic Thunder and the character stole the show at the MTV Movie Awards. Saying that I’d still prefer to see Anchorman 2 Paramount! Check out the press release below it’s hilarious.

Paramount Pictures and MTV Films announced today that they are set to develop a movie around mega-producer Les Grossman. The announcement comes on the heels of Grossman’s groundbreaking and visionary production of the soon-to-be Emmy® award-winning 2010 MTV Movie Awards Sunday night. Tom Cruise, along with Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld of Red Hour Films will produce and have secured the life rights to Grossman.

Grossman, best known as a mega producer, has most recently mentored talents such as Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. In 2008, Grossman was introduced to the masses by Stiller in the comedy “Tropic Thunder” where the famed producer had a cameo playing himself.

Said Ben Stiller: “Les Grossman’s life story is an inspiring tale of the classic human struggle to achieve greatness against all odds. He has assured me he plans to quote, ‘F**king kill the sh*t out of this movie and make Citizen f**king Kane look like a piece of crap home movie by the time we are done.’ I am honored to be working with him.”

When asked what the screenplay was about Grossman responded: “To quote my great friend Kirk Lazarus, ‘I don’t read the script, the script reads me.’”Adam Goodman, Paramount Film Group President said, “Everything I learned in this business, I’ve learned from Les. I started out as his assistant, and from the first day he threw his desk at me when I got his lunch order wrong, I have loved him like a father. I am forever grateful to Ben and Stuart Cornfeld and their ability to secure his highly-coveted life rights,” Tom Cruise is said to be in talks to portray Grossman in the film. Michael Bacall (“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World”) will write the script.

Ben Stiller is a bit hit and me miss for me but I really lik like the look of this, it looks real sarcastic and ironic.

Greenberg (Ben Stiller) is at a crossroads in his life. Out of a job and none too interested in finding one, he agrees to housesit for his younger and more successful brother (Chris Messina), thereby getting a free place to stay in Los Angeles. Once settled in, Greenberg sets out to reconnect with his old friend and former bandmate Ivan (Rhys Ifans). But times have changed, and old friends aren’t necessarily still best friends, so Greenberg finds himself spending more and more time instead with his brother’s personal assistant Florence (Greta Gerwig), an aspiring singer and herself something of a lost soul. As their relationship develops through a series of embarrassingly awkward romantic encounters, even someone as irascible as Greenberg might have at last found a reason to be happy.

Harvey Keital has joined up with Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, Owen Wilson, Jessica Alba and Laura Dern in the Little Fockers according to the Hollywood Reporter. Jane Rosenthal and Jay Roach, who directed the first two films in the franchise, are producing, while Paul Weitz is directing.

To be honest I don’t give a monkeys about this film, the last film in the series was not funny at all for me, it was saved by some good performances but overall I didn’t like it. Harvey Keitel and Robert Di Niro have been in some classics together (Mean Streets and Taxi Driver) but I’m pretty sure this won’t be one of them. The last film in the series made a ridiculous amount of money though – $516,642,939 – £8.00 of that mine so it kind of makes sense from a business sense.
