Debut Trailer For Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ – Starring Bruce Willis, Edward Norton & Bill Murray
Jan 13th
iTunes Trailers has debuted this delightful first trailer for Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom.’ Scheduled for release May 25th, the film features a stellar cast in Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward. ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ is Anderson’s first live action film since 2007′s ‘The Darjeeling Limited.’
Set on an island off the coast of New England in the 1960s, “Moonrise Kingdom” follows a young boy and girl falling in love. When they are moved to run away together, various factions of the town mobilize to search for them and the town is turned upside down – which might not be such a bad thing. Willis plays the town sheriff; Norton is cast as a camp leader; Murray and McDormand portray the young girl’s parents.
First Look At Bill Murray As Franklin D. Roosevelt In ‘Hyde Park on the Hudson’
Nov 4th
USA Today has released this first image of (the awesome) Bill Murray as President Franklin D. Roosevelt in Roger Mitchell’s (Notting Hill, Morning Glory) ‘Hyde Park on the Hudson.’ The story focuses on Roosevelt’s love affair with his distant cousin and family companion, Daisy, during a June weekend in 1939 when the British King and Queen visited FDR’s upstate New York cottage in what was the first ever visit to America by a member of the British monarchy. ‘Hyde Park on Hudson’ is the film adaptation of Richard Melson’s radio play of the same name. The film co-stars Olivia Williams, Laura Linney, Olivia Colman, Elizabeth Wilson, Samuel West, Blake Ritson and Elizabeth Marvel.
No reigning British monarch had ever been to the United States before George VI’s visit in 1939, just on the cusp of a new world war. History was in the making when the King and Queen arrived at President Roosevelt’s upstate New York home, with a promise of politics, a picnic and hot dogs. But the private life of the President provided a whole new dimension to an epochal moment, at least in the memory of his lover.
First Set Images From Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ – Featuring Bill Murray & Ed Norton

Featuring two of my favourite actors in Bill Murray and Ed Norton, The Film Stage have uncovered this first batch of set photos from Wes Anderson’s upcoming movie ‘Moonrise Kingdom.’ The film features a stellar cast in Bruce Willis, Norton, Murray, Frances McDormand, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton and now apparently Harvey Keitel.
‘Moonrise Kingdom’ is Anderson’s first live action film since 2007′s ‘The Darjeeling Limited.’ Set on an island off the coast of New England in the 1960s, the film follows a young boy and girl falling in love. When they are moved to run away together, various factions of the town mobilize to search for them and the town is turned upside down. Norton will play a scout leader who brings his charges on a search. Willis plays the town sheriff who’s also looking, and who is having an affair with the missing girl’s mother (McDormand). Murray, a regular in Anderson films, will play the girl’s father, who has his own issues. Look out for the film mid to late 2012.
Debut Trailer For ‘Passion Play’ – Starring Mickey Rourke, Bill Murray & Megan Fox
Apr 11th

Entertainment Tonight have liberated this debut (low quality?) trailer for Mitch Glazer’s upcoming noir-drama ‘Passion Play,’ which stars the likes of Mickey Rourke, Bill Murray, Rhys Ifans and Megan Fox. With three of my favourite actors on board in Rourke, Ifans and Murray I had been intrigued by this flick, this trailer has pretty much vaporized my interest, it looks crap doesn’t look good at all. ‘Passion Play’ is out in the US May 6th, no UK date at this moment in time.
Nate (Rourke), a small-time jazz musician, is clearly a hard-luck case. Caught trying to break into a car, he is taken off into the desert where his assailant puts a gun to his head. Game over? Not quite. Stumbling into a circus pitched amidst the vast expanses of the southwest desert, Nate finds himself drawn to the exotic beauty of Lily (Fox), the Bird Woman. Lily is cold and dismissive; socializing with customers is not her scene. But it dawns on her that this gentle giant may well be her way out of a life of eccentric exposition. Nate is protective and understanding, and to him her aquiline beauty is a magic part of her uniqueness. As their bond deepens, Nate finds that his dreams of bliss are about to be thwarted by Happy Shannon (Murray), a cucumber-cool businessman with deep pockets and an eye for the bizarre.
Drawing on the remarkable talents of its high-powered cast, this wonderfully offbeat film is filled with surprises and proves that magic can be found in many places. Mitch Glazer balances the tough-guy moments and the rocky romance with the touch and feel of a high-wire artist. It makes for a spirited and uplifting spectacle with all the spirited colour of the circus.
