Fantastic Trailer For Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan – Starring Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis & Vincent Cassel
Aug 17th
The full-length trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s much anticipated film ‘Black Swan’ has finally arrived online. I’m stoked for this, I’m a huge fan of Darren Aronofsky, the cast he‘s assembled in Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder and Barbara Hershey is first rate. The trailer makes the film look hauntingly enchanting – I’m so sold, it seems a lot more chilling than I was expecting. This looks like it could be one of this years finest
.
BLACK SWAN follows the story of Nina (Portman), a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life, like all those in her profession, is completely consumed with dance. She lives with her retired ballerina mother Erica (Barbara Hershey) who zealously supports her daughter’s professional ambition. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Winona Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But Nina has competition: a new dancer, Lily (Kunis), who impresses Leroy as well. Swan Lake requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the Black Swan, who represents guile and sensuality. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry into a twisted friendship, Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side with a recklessness that threatens to destroy her.
First Official Look At Natalie Portman In Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan

Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming film ‘Black Swan’ has been given the honour of opening this years Venice International Film Festival. To celebrate we have been given our first official look at Darth Vader’s baby mama Natalie Portman in her ballet gear. Black Swan also stars Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder and Barbara Hershey, the film has been described as a supernatural drama set in the world of New York City Ballet. I’m really looking forward to this, I’m a huge fan of Darren Aronofsky. For me Requiem for a Dream is the greatest addiction movie ever made, The Wrestler was brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed The Fountain (I know that was a bit hit and miss for some people). Also who doesn’t’ like a bunch of pretty brunettes dressed up as Ballerinas? I’m sold! Check out the USA Today article here, below is a short excerpt from the piece.
“The cast and crew of Black Swan are both excited and humbled by the selection committee’s invitation,” Aronofsky said in a press announcement. “It is an honor to walk the great red carpet on the Lido, and we are excited to premiere our film to the wonderful audiences in Venice.”

A couple set pictures of Natalie Portman have been released online at Accidental Sexiness. The pics are taken from the shoot of Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming film Black Swan, which is set for release late 2010 and stars Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder and Barbara Hershey. The film has been described as a supernatural drama set in the world of New York City Ballet which centers on a veteran ballerina (Portman) who finds herself locked in a competitive situation with a rival dancer (Kunis), with the stakes and twists increasing as the dancers approach a big performance. The big twist is that Portman’s character is not sure whether her rival is a supernatural apparition or if she is having delusions.
