MI6-HQ have got their mitts on this new batch of images of Daniel Craig as a dusted up James Bond on the London set of ‘Skyfall.’ Directed by Sam Mendes, ‘Skyfall’ will see Daniel Craig and Judi Dench continue their roles. The cast also includes Naomie Harris as a field agent named Eve, Javier Bardem as the lead villain, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw as Q, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner, the MI6 Chief of Staff, Ola Rapace, French actress Bérénice Marlohe as a “glamorous and enigmatic character,” and Ralph Fiennes, who’s role has been described as “darkly complex.”
I’ve got high hopes for ‘Skyfall,’ I’m a huge fan of Daniel Craig’s incarnation of James Bond. This latest chapter is being shot at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, Scotland, Whitehall in London, Shanghai and Istanbul. The screenplay is written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. ‘Skyfall’ will begin its worldwide roll-out in the UK and Ireland on October 26th, with a North American release following on November 9th. The Director of Photography is Roger Deakins, a nine-time Oscar nominee who previously shot the films ‘Jarhead’ and ‘Revolutionary Road’ for Mendes. Composer Thomas Newman will score the film.

Sony Pictures and Eon Productions have today announced that the next outing in the James Bond series, previously known as ‘Bond 23,’ will be titled ‘Skyfall’ – confirming rumours that had been circulating the web over the last few weeks. Directed by Sam Mendes, the film will see Daniel Craig and Judi Dench continue their roles. The cast also includes Naomie Harris as a field agent named Eve, Javier Bardem as the lead villain, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw, French actress Bérénice Marlohe as “a glamous enigmatic character,” and Ralph Fiennes, who’s role has been described as “darkly complex.”

Dailymail bring word that Albert Finney, five time Academy Award nominee and recipient of BAFTA, Golden Globe, Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Awards, has joined the cast of the Sam Mendes directed 23rd James Bond movie: “Finney, who has been in remission from cancer of the prostate for several years, will play a Foreign Office mandarin with powers over the Secret Intelligence Service, described to me as a reasonably big role and full of class. The part probably makes him M’s boss, though she — as played by Judi — might not see it that way.”

After months of speculation, Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem has confirmed to ABC’s Nightline that he will be playing the villain in the 23rd James Bond movie: ”I am very excited, my parents took me to watch the movies, and I saw all of them, so to play that is going to be fun. They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details.”
With filming on the 23rd James Bond film set to commence in November, we should expect a confirmation on the films title and casting soon. The film will see Daniel Craig and Judi Dench continue their roles, with Naomie Harris on board to portray Miss Moneypenny and Sam Mendes directing.
