New ‘The Descendants’ Clip – Starring George Clooney, Judy Greer & Beau Bridges

The good folks over at Fox Searchlight have unveiled this new clip from Alexander Payne’s (Sideways, About Schmidt) upcoming film ‘The Descendants.’ The George Clooney-starring drama is based on the novel of the same name by Kaui Hart Hemmings.
‘The Descendants’ is a sometimes humorous, sometimes tragic journey for Matt King (George Clooney), an indifferent husband and father of two girls, who is forced to re-examine his past and embrace his future when his wife suffers a boating accident off of Waikiki. ‘The Descendants’ also stars the likes of Judy Greer, Beau Bridges, Matthew Lillard, Robert Forster, Shailene Woodley, Mary Birdsong, Nick Krause and Amara Miller. ‘The Descendants’ is released in cinemas November 18th in the US, and January 20th in the UK. Relativity Media have let out the hatch these three new images from Marc Forster‘s (Finding Neverland, Monster’s Ball) upcoming drama ‘Machine Gun Preacher,’ giving us a new look at Gerard Butler and Michael Shannon. The film is based on the true story of Sam Childers (played by Gerard Butler), a former drug-dealing criminal who finds faith leading him on a path to East Africa. Shocked by the mayhem in Sudan, Childers becomes a crusader for hundreds of refugee children. Inspired to create a safe haven for the multitudes fleeing enslavement by the brutal Lord’s Resistance Army, he restores peace to their lives and eventually his own. Alongside Gerard Butler and Michael Shannon, the cast includes Michelle Monaghan, Kathy Baker, Madeline Carroll and Souleymane Sy Savane. Second Clip From ‘The Ides of March’ – Featuring Ryan Gosling & George Clooney

This new clip has hit the interwebs from George Clooney’s upcoming political drama ‘The Ides of March.’ The film is based on the 2008 play ‘Farragut North’ by Beau Williamson, the likes of Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Max Minghella and Clooney star, with Clooney also undertaking directional duties. Gosling will play Stephen Meyers, the young campaign mastermind to Governor Morris (George Clooney), who is campaigning for the Democratic Presidential nomination. Giamatti will play a rival candidate’s campaign leader.
‘The Ides Of March’ is currently pencilled in for release October 7th in the US and October 28th in the UK. I expect this film to feature heavily during next years awards season. Definitely a flick to keep an eye on. The movie will be Clooney’s fourth film as director after ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,’ ‘Good Night and Good Luck’ and ‘Leatherheads.’

Lionsgate have unleashed this new clip from John Singleton’s (Boyz n the Hood) Taylor Lautner starring incredibly Bourne’esq action thriller ‘Abduction.’ The clip showcases Nathan (Taylor Lautner) learning more about who he is from Dr. Bennett (Sigourney Weaver). ‘Abduction’ focuses on this young man Nathan, who discovers the parents who raised him aren’t his real parents, a shocking revelation that triggers events and leaves him running for his life – and subsequently kicking ass in the process. In addition to Taylor Lautner and Sigourney Weaver, ‘Abduction’ stars Lily Collins, Danny Glover, Alfred Molina, Michael Nyqvist, Maria Bello, and Jason Isaacs. ‘Abduction’ is set for release September 23rd.

Anchor Bay have unveiled these four new clips from Ami Canaan Mann’s upcoming crime thriller ‘Texas Killing Fields.’ Inspired by true events, the movie follows a New York City detective (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) who teams with a Texas cop (Sam Worthington) to hunt down a serial killer who dumps his victims bodies in a marsh known to the local as a the “killing fields”. The killer changes the game and begins hunting the detectives, teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes while always remaining one step ahead. The investigation becomes even more intense when the killer kidnaps a young local girl (Chloe Moretz). ’Texas Killing Fields’ stars Sam Worthington, Dean Morgan, Chloe Moretz, Stephen Graham, Jessica Chastain and Jason Clarke.
