New Behind-The-Scenes Featurette For ‘Battleship’ Focuses On The Aliens

With the films date release upon us, IGN has unveiled this new behind-the-scenes featurette for Peter Berg’s (The Kingdom, Hancock) blockbuster ‘Battleship,’ focusing on the films villainous aliens. From what I’ve seen so far, I’m convinced that the best film to see drunk this month is undoubtedly, unquestionably, beyond shadow of a doubt, unmistakably……‘Battleship.’ The film, a sci-fi/actioner that is loosely based on the Hasbro board game of the same name, stars Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgård, Brooklyn Decker, Taylor Kitsch, Josh Pence and Rihanna. ‘Battleship’ is set for release April 11th in the UK and May 18th in the US.
Peter Berg (Hancock) produces and directs Battleship, an epic action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. Based on Hasbro’s classic naval combat game, Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper’s fiancée; Alexander Skarsgard as Hopper’s older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper’s crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone’s superior (and Sam’s father), Admiral Shane.

EuropaCorp has made available the first 5-minutes for their forthcoming space-set action thriller ‘Lockout.’ Produced/co-written by Luc Besson (Taken, Leon, the Transporter series) and directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger, ‘Lockout’ follows an ex-government agent (Guy Pearce) wrongly convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the US. This man is offered his freedom if he can rescue the president’s daughter (Maggie Grace) from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates. I’ve got soft spot for these type of flicks, look out for ‘Lockout,’ or ‘MS One: Maximum Security’ as it’s also known, on April 20th….I’m there! The film co-stars Peter Stormare, Joseph Gilgun, Lennie James, and Vincent Regan.
