Images From The Premiere Of ‘Bel Ami’ Featuring Robert Pattinson, Holliday Grainger & Christina Ricci – Plus 2 New Clips
Feb 19th
Accompanying this collection of images from the world premiere of ‘Bel Ami’ in Berlin last night, Studiocanal has released these two new clips from the upcoming adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s 1885 novel. Directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod, ‘Bel Ami’ stars Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman, Holliday Grainger, Kristin Scott Thomas, Christina Ricci, and Colm Meaney. ‘Bel Ami’ chronicles a young man’s (Robert Pattinson) rise to power in Paris via his manipulation of the city’s most influential and wealthy women. The film is set for release March 2nd in the US, and March 9th in the UK.
Bel Ami is the story of Georges Duroy (Robert Pattinson), who travels through 1890s Paris, from cockroach ridden garrets to opulent salons, using his wits and powers of seduction to rise from poverty to wealth, from a prostitute’s embrace to passionate trysts with wealthy beauties, in a world where politics and media jostle for influence, where sex is power and celebrity an obsession.

Stunning New Image From Disney•Pixar’s Short Film ‘La Luna’
Feb 18th
Disney•Pixar has released, via StitchKingdom, this new still from Pixar’s fantastic looking short film ‘La Luna.’ Running at seven minutes, ‘La Luna’ is directed by Enrico Casarosa and produced by Kevin Reher. The short film will be screened in front of Disney•Pixar’s 3D computer-animated fantasy adventure film ’Brave’ this summer from June 22nd in the US, and August 17th in the UK. ‘La Luna’ tells the story of a young boy who rows out to sea with this father and grandpa to learn about their “unusual line of work.”
Disney•Pixar’s ’Brave’ is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). An unruly daughter and an accomplished archer, Merida (Kelly Macdonald) one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman (Walters) and is granted an ill-fated wish. Also figuring into Merida’s quest – and serving as comic relief – are the kingdom’s three lords: the enormous Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), the surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson), and the disagreeable Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane).
First Clip Unveiled From The Todd Phillips Produced Comedy ‘Project X’
Feb 17th
Yahoo! Movies has premiered this debut clip from the mad-as-a-box-of-frogs looking comedy ‘Project X.’ Starring newcomers Miles Teller, Oliver Cooper, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dax Flame, Nichole O’Connor, and Alexis Knapp, the film is produced by ‘The Hangover’ and ‘Old School’ helmer Todd Phillips, and directed by Nima Nourizadeh. ‘Project X’ is an out-of-control comedy that follows a group of buds who set out to throw the most epic 17th birthday party ever. The film documents a high school party that gets completely out of control, shot from the perspective of the digital cameras that the kids have with them. ’Project X’ is set for release March 2nd.
Directed by Nima Nourizadeh and produced by Todd Phillips (The Hangover) and Joel Silver (The Matrix), “Project X” follows three seemingly anonymous high school seniors as they attempt to finally make a name for themselves. Their idea is innocent enough: let’s throw a party that no one will forget… but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads quickly as dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born. “Project X” is a warning to parents and police everywhere. This film has been rated R for crude and sexual content throughout, nudity, drugs, drinking, pervasive language, reckless behavior and mayhem-all involving teens.

Collider has unveiled this extended (clocking in over 13 minutes) behind-the-scenes featurette for Sony Pictures barmy looking action adventure film ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.’ It has been several years since making a deal with the Devil and Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage), living in self-imposed isolation, finds himself as the only person who can help save 10-year-old Danny – and ultimately the world – thanks to his unwanted and uncontrollable power – his ability to transform into the hell-on-wheels monster known as The Ghost Rider. Directed by Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine (Crank, Gamer), ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ opens February 17th. The film stars Nicolas Cage, Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth, Ciarán Hinds, and Violante Placido. Check out my interview with Nicolas Cage and Idris Elba for the film here.
