Where The Wild Things Are, one of the most anticipated films of 2009 is finally being released in UK cinemas December 11th (it was released in the US back in October!!!). The good people behind the film are giving away prizes for the best yowler in the country . I was fortunate to attend the screening yesterday at the swanky Warner Brothers screening room, I’m gonna post my thoughts later today.

The US number one box office hit and coolest flick of the year – Where The Wild Things Are – is hitting UK cinemas on 11^thDecember, and, to celebrate, the Wild Rumpus has officially begun! We are recruiting Yowlers in shopping malls around the country, or in the safety of their own homes, to create the longest Wild Thing Yowl.

A yowl can be a sound that expresses anything you want – from joy and excitement to letting off some Christmas shopping steam, or to just prove that you are louder than your mate. Think of a howl – but wilder!

Customised Wild Thing yowling booths are visiting shopping centres around the country collecting your yowls in the run up to the movie’s release. Just look out for the HUGE tree stump in the following locations and yowl as long as you can.

Where The Wild Things Are is award-winning director Spike Jonze’s eagerly-awaited interpretation of one of the most beloved books of all time.
