Daniel Craig’s James Bond & Javier Bardem’s Silva Feature In New ‘Skyfall’ Clip
Oct 15th
iTunes Movie Trailers has unleashed this new clip from ‘Skyfall,’ providing us with a look at Daniel Craig’s James Bond facing off against Javier Bardem’s villainous Silva. Bardem has described Silva as “more than a villain”, and in casting the role, Sam Mendes has said that he lobbied hard for Bardem to accept the part as Mendes saw the potential for the character to be recognised as one of the most-memorable characters in the franchise and so wanted to create “something the audience may consider to have been absent from the Bond movies for a long time”.
Directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Revolutionary Road, Road to Perdition), ‘Skyfall’ sees Daniel Craig and Judi Dench continue their roles as James Bond and M. The cast also includes Naomie Harris as a field agent named Eve, Javier Bardem as Silva; the stories leering and sinisterly creepy lead villain, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw as Q; MI5′s resident gadgets man, Tonia Sotiropoulou, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner; the MI6 Chief of Staff, Ola Rapace, Bérénice Marlohe as the “glamorous and enigmatic” Sévérine, and Ralph Fiennes as Gareth Mallory - who’s been described as “darkly complex.” ‘Skyfall’ will begin its worldwide roll-out in the UK and Ireland on October 26th, with a North American release following on November 9th.

Daniel Craig, Judi Dench & Naomie Harris Feature In “Take The Shot” ‘Skyfall’ Clip
Oct 13th
Sony Pictures has unleashed, via Yahoo! Movies, this new “Take The Shot” clip from the hugely anticipated 23rd James Bond adventure, ‘Skyfall.’ The tense clip highlights Judi Dench’s M, Naomie Harris’ Eve and Daniel Craig’s 007 duking it out with Ola Rapace’s Patrice. Rapace’s character is said to be a French mercenary who “is a man of few words” and “loves violence”. Harris has said the following about her Eve character, “Eve is a brilliant field agent who’s very independent, intelligent, witty, fun and courageous. She’s not afraid to stand her ground with Bond, and I think that makes her so much more interesting. Playing Eve really allowed me to highlight the more adventurous side of my personality, which was a lot of fun.”
I’ve got incredibly high hopes for ‘Skyfall,’ I love this clip and I’m a huge fan of Daniel Craig’s more gritty and intense incarnation of James Bond. This latest 007 chapter was shot at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, Scotland, Whitehall in London, Shanghai and Istanbul. The ‘Skyfall’ screenplay is written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. The Director of Photography is Roger Deakins, a nine-time Oscar nominee who previously shot the films ‘Jarhead’ and ‘Revolutionary Road’ for Sam Mendes. Composer Thomas Newman scores ‘Skyfall.’

Daniel Craig Speaks On Working With Sam Mendes & Stripping Off As James Bond For ‘Skyfall’
Oct 12th
Closley following Ben Whishaw’s interview with Shortlist for ‘Skyfall,’ Shortlist have now posted their discussion with Daniel Craig for the hugely anticipated 23rd James Bond adventure. In the interview, Craig speaks on how his ‘Skyfall’ director Sam Mendes has changed since working with him on ‘Road To Perdition’ 10 years ago, “I suppose people change within a 10-year period. Older and wiser. I think we’ve both changed, and it’s then how you react to each other. I was in a different place and he was in a different place when we made that movie, and I’m here now and doing this and I really wanted him to be part of it. The reason I asked him was I thought I knew how he would react to this challenge, and he did – he’s reacted brilliantly to it.”
With Daniel Craig stripping off again as 007 in ‘Skyfall,’ he was asked whether he ever feels like he’s being objectified? “[Laughs] Yes, all the time. Talk to my boss, Barbara Broccoli, about that. Yes, completely, f*ck it, why not?” Shortlist followed up that answer by asking, “Do you look through your script and go “there’s another nude scene”?” To which the actor replied, “I don’t actually read those bits. I don’t care how many times I have to do it. It’s going to be harder and harder the older I get. It’s just fun. There’s enough sexiness in the movie with the girls – and hopefully me as well – but it’s a little bit of a gag now.”

In further ‘Skyfall’ news, the official James Bond 007 Facebook page has premiered the following “Javier Bardem Is Silva” banner poster for the film. Bardem has described Silva as “more than a villain”, and in casting the role, director Sam Mendes has said that he lobbied hard for Bardem to accept the part as Mendes saw the potential for the character to be recognised as one of the most-memorable characters in the franchise and so wanted to create “something the audience may consider to have been absent from the Bond movies for a long time”.
