New Image Of Noomi Rapace In Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus’ – Writer Damon Lindelof Comments On The Films Scope
Jan 15th
Hero Complex has released this intriguing new image of Noomi Rapace (and some mysterious “Space Jockey” suits) in ‘Prometheus,’ Ridley Scott’s prequel to his 1979 classic sci-fi film, ‘Alien.’ The image accompanies comments from writer Damon Lindelof regarding the scope of the film: “The movie is definitely epic in its scope. One of the filmmakers that we ended up talking about to a fair degree of redundancy was David Lean, who directed ‘Lawrence of Arabia.’ We wanted to make the movie feel big by having the characters be small in big spaces, That connected to the larger themes we were talking about — that we’re all just these little gnats crawling around on our little planet.”
Alongside Noomie Rapace, ‘Prometheus’ features a stellar cast in Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Guy Pearce, Rafe Spall and Logan Marshall-Green. My excitement meter is officially set to ‘squeal like a Japanese schoolgirl’ for this film. ‘Prometheus’ is released in cinemas June 8th.

Sony Pictures has released this new French poster for their barmy looking action adventure flick ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.’ It has been several years since making a deal with the Devil and Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage), living in self-imposed isolation, finds himself as the only person who can help save 10-year-old Danny – and ultimately the world – thanks to his unwanted and uncontrollable power – his ability to transform into the hell-on-wheels monster known as The Ghost Rider. Directed by Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine (Crank, Gamer), ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ opens February 17th, 2012. The film stars Nicolas Cage, Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth, Ciarán Hinds, and Violante Placido. Check out my interview with Nicolas Cage and Idris Elba for the film here.

Charlize Theron Talks About Her Character In Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus’
Dec 24th
Charlize Theron recently spoke to TotalFilm about her role in ‘Prometheus,’ Ridley Scott’s prequel to his 1979 classic sci-fi film, ‘Alien.’ When asked whether her role in the film would be comparable to Sigourney Weaver’s iconic Ripley, Theron replied: “No, I actually don’t play the heroine in it; that’s Noomi Rapace. I play somewhat of a villain in it. She’s not believer, she’s not a scientist, she is the red tape that everyone has to go through. She’s working with the company that’s sponsoring this whole thing and you can feel she definitely has an agenda, which we pick up in the third act. She’s more quiet thunder.”
Alongside Theron, ‘Prometheus’ also stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Guy Pearce, Rafe Spall and Logan Marshall-Green. Look out for the film in cinemas June 8th, 2012. The synopsis for ‘Prometheus’ is as follows: “Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.”
