New ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ Character Poster For Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ Valentine Morgernstern
May 10th
Following the one-sheet centering on Robert Sheehan’s Simon Lewis, the film’s official Facebook page has debuted another new character poster for ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones,’ the forthcoming adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s first book in her best-selling young adult novel series. Directed by Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid remake), the cast includes Lily Collins as Clary Fray, Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Valentine Morgernstern, Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace Wayland, Robert Sheehan as Simon Lewis, Jemima West as Isabelle Lightwood, Lena Headey as Jocelyn Fray, Jared Harris as Hodge Starkweather, Kevin Zegers as Alec Lightwood, Godfrey Gao as Magnus Bane, Kevin Durand as Emil Pangborn, Robert Maillet as Samuel Blackwell, Aidan Turner as Luke Garroway, and CCH Pounder as Madame Dorothea. ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ is pencilled in for a August 23rd release.
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
