New Look At Andrew Garfield As Peter Parker/Spider-Man ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’

This screengrab has emerged online from the iPad edition of Entertainment Weekly featuring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Marc Webb’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man.’ Based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, the 3D action-adventure will be swinging onto the big screen July 3rd in the US, and July 4th in the UK. The film also stars Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Rhys Ifans (Dr. Curt Conners/The Lizard), Denis Leary (George Stacy), Campbell Scott (Richard Parker), Irrfan Khan (Nels Van Adder/Proto-Goblin), Martin Sheen (Ben Parker) and Sally Field (May Parker). ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves.
Like most teenagers his age, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. In his journey to put the pieces of his past together he uncovers a secret that his father held…a secret that will ultimately shape his destiny as Spider-Man. This is the first in a series of movies that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story. On July 3rd, 2012, the untold story begins.
Three Images Of Nicholas Hoult In Jonathan Levine’s ‘Warm Bodies’

Closely following the first official look at the film, Summit Entertainment has released three more images of Nicholas Hoult in Jonathan Levine’s (50/50) forthcoming adaptation of Isaac Marion‘s novel ’Warm Bodies.’ I’ve been keeping my eye on this flick, Levin’s previous film ’50/50′ was without doubt one of my highlights of 2011. The story follows Nicholas Hoult’s character “R”, a zombie who falls in love with Julie (Teresa Palmer) after he eats her boyfriend’s brains and absorbs his memories. ‘Warm Bodies’ co-stars Rob Corddry, John Malkovich, Analeigh Tipton, and Dave Franco. Look out for the film in cinemas August 10th in the US, and August 27th in the UK. Check out the full synopsis below.

Hulu has rather generously unveiled the opening five minutes from Steven Soderbergh‘s upcoming flick ‘Haywire.’ The action-thriller stars MMA fighter/actress Gina Carano, Channing Tatum, Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas and Bill Paxton. ‘Haywire’ is scheduled for release January 20th. A new Soderbergh flick is always welcomed by me, keep ‘em coming sir! Look out for interviews with the cast later this week.

Three New Images From Action-Thriller ‘The Raid’

Empire has unleashed this trio of new images from writer/director Gareth Evans’ insane yet thoroughly awesome action flick ‘The Raid.’ The film stars Iko Uwais, Doni Alamsyah, Joe Taslim, Yayan Ruhian and Ray Sahetapy, while Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda is on score duty. ‘The Raid’ was a massive hit at TIFF, winning the much coveted Midnight Audience Award. Expect to see the film this Spring through Sony Picture Classics.
Deep in the heart of Jakarta’s slums lies an impenetrable safe house for the world’s most dangerous killers and gangsters. Until now, the run-down apartment block has been considered untouchable to even the bravest of police. Cloaked under the cover of pre-dawn darkness and silence, an elite swat team is tasked with raiding the safe house in order to take down the notorious drug lord that runs it.
