Debut Look At Johnny Depp & Armie Hammer In ‘The Lone Ranger’

Hi-yo Silver, awaaaay (sorry, I couldn’t resist)! Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has unveiled this first look at Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer in Walt Disney Pictures’ ‘The Lone Ranger.’ An outstanding cast has been assembled for the film, with Hammer (The Social Network) taking on the role of the titular character and Depp portraying Tonto. The likes of Ruth Wilson, William Fichtner, Helena Bonham Carter, James Badge Dale, Barry Pepper, Tom Wilkinson and James Frain will co-star. The film, which takes place in 1869, is directed by Gore Verbinski for Walt Disney Pictures/Jerry Bruckheimer Films. ‘The Lone Ranger’ marks Verbrinski and Depp’s fifth collaboration after the first three ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies and ‘Rango.’
The film is described as “a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought tolife through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.” ‘The Lone Ranger’ is scheduled to be released May 31st, 2013.

CineMarcado has debuted these four new images from Tim Burton’s ‘Dark Shadows.’ The pics provide us with new looks at Johnny Depp as the vampire Barnabas Collins, Eva Green as Angelique Bouchard, Michelle Pfeiffer as Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, Chloe Moretz as Carolyn Stoddard, and Gulliver McGrath as David Collins. Alongside Depp, Green, Pfeiffer, Moretz, and McGrath, the film features a top-notch ensemble cast of Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Helena Bonham Carter, and Bella Heathcote. ’Dark Shadows’ opens in cinemas May 11th – expect to see a trailer for ‘Dark Shadows’ soon(ish).

William Fichtner Joins Johnny Depp & Armie Hammer In ‘The Lone Ranger’

Deadline bring word that William Fichtner has landed the role of the lead villain in Walt Disney Pictures’ ‘The Lone Ranger.’ Fichtner is replacing the previously attached Dwight Yoakam as Butch Cavendish. An outstanding cast has been assembled for the film, with Armie Hammer (The Social Network) taking on the role of the titular character and Johnny Depp portraying Tonto. The likes of Ruth Wilson, Helena Bonham Carter, James Badge Dale, Barry Pepper, Tom Wilkinson and James Frain are set to co-star. The film, which takes place in 1869, is directed by Gore Verbinski for Walt Disney Pictures/Jerry Bruckheimer Films. The plot-line is as follows: “A Texas Ranger, left for dead, is saved by the Commanche Tonto, who gives his new partner the masked identity of Lone Ranger.”
‘The Lone Ranger’ marks Verbrinski and Depp’s fifth collaboration after the first three ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies and ‘Rango.’ ‘The Lone Ranger’ is scheduled to be released May 31st, 2013. Principal photography begun on ‘The Lone Ranger’ this month in Mexico, with production planned in and around Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Shiprock and other locations around the state through the middle of August 2012. Fichtner recently filmed Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Elysuim’ with Matt Damon and Jodie Foster, as well as ‘Phantom’ opposite Ed Harris and David Duchovney.
