Michael Caine Joins Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’

Deadline bring word that Michael Caine has joined Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain in the Christopher Nolan-directed ‘Interstellar.’ Caine, who worked on three Nolan-helmed Dark Knight movies, also starred in ‘Inception’ and ‘The Prestige.’
Scheduled for a November 7th, 2014 release, ‘Interstellar’ is written by Christopher Nolan and his brother and longtime collaborator Jonathan Nolan. The film will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding. The story is said to be based on scientific theories developed by a Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, a gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech.

The synopsis for the film is as follows.

Michael Caine & Ben Kingsley Join ‘Eliza Graves’

Deadline reveal that Oscar winners Michael Caine and Ben Kingsley have joined Kate Beckinsale and Jim Sturgess in the psychological thriller, ’Eliza Graves.’ Brad Anderson (The Call, The Machinist) is directing the tale, which is loosely based on one of Edgar Allan Poe’s early works, a 1845 short story titled ‘The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether.’ Beckinsale will play the title character of Eliza, a patient at a mental institution in which the inmates have taken over and are posing as doctors. She becomes the object of affection of a newly arrived Harvard Medical School grad (Sturgess) who has no idea of the topsy-turvy world he just entered. A June 24th production start date in Bulgaria is penciled in for the film.
