Paramount Pictures has set loose, via Yahoo! Movies, this new “Public Service Announcement” viral video for the upcoming post-apocalyptic zombie flick, ‘World War Z.’ The video sees ‘Michael Kim’, the former director of the ‘Global Health Agency (GHA)’, tell us that the world is in rather serious trouble. “Over the last few weeks there has been a series of inexplicable events around the globe that we believe are connected,” he says. We see footage of violent attacks in Indonesia, eerily empty villages in India and lots of general mayhem. “This is a global crisis,” says Kim.

While a new trailer for ‘World War Z’ sprang a leak yesterday before being swiftly removed, Paramount Pictures has today unveiled this new poster for the upcoming post-apocalyptic zombie flick. Based on Max Brooks’ rather fantastic novel, and featuring a stellar cast of Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Anthony Mackie, Matthew Fox, Julia Levy-Boeken, Bryan Cranston and James Badge Dale, ‘World War Z’ details the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse from the perspective of survivors as varied as mercenaries, US government officials, and impoverished Palestinians.
Set 10 years after a global zombie epidemic, ’World War Z’ follows Max Brooks (Brad Pitt), who driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of thirty million souls to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet. He recorded the testimony of men, women, and sometimes children who came face-to-face with the living, or at least the undead, hell of that dreadful time. ‘World War Z’ is the result.
