New Trailer For Duncan Jones’ ‘Source Code’ – Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan & Vera Farmiga
Feb 23rd

Summit Entertainment have released this new trailer for Duncan Jones upcoming sci-fi thriller ‘Source Code’ via Moviefone. Jones’ debut film ‘Moon’ was one hell of a flick! It was a compelling and thoroughly thought provoking piece of work. I’ve got full faith that this could be one of 2011’s highlights . ‘Source Code’ stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Gyllenhaal’s stubble, Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan, Jeffrey Wright and Russell Peters.
When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he’s part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he’s ever known, he learns he’s part of a government experiment called the “Source Code,” a program that enables him to cross over into another man’s identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack. Filled with mind-boggling twists and heart-pounding suspense, Source Code is a smart action-thriller directed by Duncan Jones (Moon) also starring Michelle Monaghan (Eagle Eye, Due Date), Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air, The Departed), and Jeffrey Wright (Quantum of Solace, Syriana).
New Clip From ‘Battle: Los Angeles’ – Starring Aaron Eckhart & Michelle Rodriguez
Feb 23rd

Columbia Pictures have released the first clip from the fantastic looking alien invasion movie ‘Battle: Los Angeles.’ I’ve got a sneaky feeling that this film is going to knock my socks off, everything I’ve seen so far has been awesome. ‘Battle: Los Angeles’ is set to hit cinemas March 11th 2011.…count me in!
For years, there have been documented cases of UFO sightings around the world – Buenos Aires, Seoul, France, Germany, China. But in 2011, what were once just sightings will become a terrifying reality when Earth is attacked by unknown forces. As people everywhere watch the world’s great cities fall, Los Angeles becomes the last stand for mankind in a battle no one expected. It’s up to a Marine staff sergeant (Aaron Eckhart) and his new platoon to draw a line in the sand as they take on an enemy unlike any they’ve ever encountered before.

Matt Damon Talks About Neill Blomkamp’s Upcoming Sci-Fi Movie ‘Elysium’
Feb 22nd
In a recent chinwag with Eyewitness News Matt Damon spoke of his excitement in working with Neill Blomkamp (District 9) on his upcoming sci-fi flick ‘Elysium.’
“I’ve never done anything quite like this and I kind of responded to what’s out there and what’s in and what’s good,” he said. Damon said he was looking forward to working with on Elysium with Blomkamp too. “The movie is going to be good, he showed me basically the entire world which he’s going to build and it really really exciting and I can’t wait,” he added.
Very little is known about ‘Elysium’ at this moment in time, all we know is that it‘s set 100 years in the future and that we should (hopefully) expect a riveting sci-fi flick with socio-political undertones. I for one am A M P E D for this film, I was a huge fan of Blomkamp’s ‘District 9,’ that film had style and substance in abundance. To date Matt Damon and Sharlto Copley have signed on to star, Jodie Foster is supposedly in talks.

This new NASCAR Daytona 500 TV Spot has been released online for Michael Bay’s ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon.’ The 30 second teaser features a couple new shots from the film, but for the most part is very similar to the Superbowl TV Spot that was released a few weeks back now. ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ comes to cinemas July 1st, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, explosions, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, fast cars, Julie White, Ken Jeong, loud music, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk and John Malkovich.
The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
