4.3.2.1. is the new film from the BAFTA winning British Actor/ Writer/ Director. I’ve been looking forward to this for a while now, I love me a good crime caper, it reminds me of Set It Off (starring Jada Pinkett and Queen Latifah), one of my favourite crime thrillers of the 90′s. As usual Noel Clarke has assembled a cast of exciting rising stars including Emma Roberts (Nancy Drew, Wild Child), Tamsin Egerton (St. Trinian’s), Ophelia Lovibond (Nowhere Boy, London Boulevard) and Shanika Warren-Markland (Adulthood), the four intricately woven stories are about four best friends who become involved in a major diamond heist. I’m looking forward to this, 4 3 2 1 is the new film from BAFTA award-winning Noel Clarke, it follows on from the success of writing and starring in Kidulthood then directing, writing and starring in Adulthood. The movie details three days in the lives of four girls who are unknowingly connected by a major diamond robbery. 4, 3, 2, 1 stars Noel Clarke, Emma Roberts, Tamsin Egerton, Ophelia Lovibond, Shanika Warren-Marklend, Ben ‘Plan B’ Drew, Jacob Anderson, Ashley ‘Bashy’ Thomas and Adam Deacon. To be honest I’m not really feeling the poster, it looks way too brushed for my liking, it looks more like a flyer you find in your local chicken spot than an actual film poster. I’ve been hearing great things about the film though, Noel Clarke has an eye for young talent and I’m sure it’ll be great, I’m definitely gonna check it out.

This looks great, I’m a big fan of muddy, sword and sandal films. With Neil Marshall (The Descent, Dogsoldiers) directing and a great cast – Dominic West (McNulty), Noel Clarke, Michael Fassbender, Olga Kurylenko, Riz Ahmed and David Morrissey I’m in, two thumbs up!

The movie speculates on the fate of Rome’s reputedly ‘lost’ Ninth Legion*, who in this take are north of Hadrian’s Wall, engaged in a bloody battle and facing a bit of trouble getting out of hostile Pict country.
