UK Poster For George Clooney’s ‘The Ides of March’

Entertainment One have let out the hatch this new UK quad poster for George Clooney’s upcoming political drama ‘The Ides of March.’ The film is based on the 2008 play ‘Farragut North’ by Beau Williamson, the likes of Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Max Minghella and Clooney star, with Clooney also undertaking directional duties. Gosling will play Stephen Meyers, the young campaign mastermind to Governor Morris (George Clooney), who is campaigning for the Democratic Presidential nomination. Giamatti will play a rival candidate’s campaign leader.
‘The Ides Of March’ is currently pencilled in for release October 7th in the US and October 28th in the UK. I expect this film to feature heavily during next years awards season. Definitely a flick to keep an eye on. The movie will be Clooney’s fourth film as director after ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,’ ‘Good Night and Good Luck’ and ‘Leatherheads.’

First Image From David Cronenberg’s ‘Cosmopolis’ Featuring Robert Pattinson & Sarah Gadon

This first image from the production of David Cronenberg’s upcoming film ‘Cosmopolis’ has emerged online thanks to the director’s daughter, Caitlin Cronenberg, who uploaded the photo via her Twitter account. As a massive Cronenberg fan I’ve been keeping a keen eye on this film. Besides ‘Cosmopolis,’ which is currently filming and looking for release next year, Cronenberg has a film ready for release late 2011, ‘A Dangerous Method,’ which chronicles the intense relationship between Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen) and his student Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender), and how it gave birth to competing theories of psychoanalysis.
‘Cosmopolis’, which stars Robert Pattinson, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti, Mathieu Amalric, Kevin Durand, and Sarah Gadon, is based on Don DeLillo’s novel of the same name and follows Eric Packer (Pattinson), a multi-millionaire, across Manhattan as he goes through his fortune in a 24-hour attempt to get a haircut.
UK Poster For Thomas McCarthy’s Indie Drama ‘Win Win’ – Starring Paul Giamatti

This new UK poster has arrived online for Thomas McCarthy’s (The Visitor, The Station Agent) upcoming indie drama ‘Win Win.’ The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to glowing reviews, the general consensus was that it’s poignant, witty and at times laugh-out-loud hilarious.
The story follows a struggling middle-aged attorney, moonlighting as a volunteer high school wrestling coach (Paul Giamatti) who becomes caretaker to an elderly man (Burt Young), which leads to a complicated mentor/guardian situation with the man’s grandson, a star athlete (Alex Schaffer). I’ve got high hopes for this flick, Paul Giamatti pretty much always gets my stamp of approval. ‘Win Win’ is set to hit UK cinemas May 20th. If you missed the trailer have a butchers below!
