UK Poster For ‘Real Steel’ – Starring Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly & Anthony Mackie
May 30th
“COURAGE IS STRONGER THAN STEEL.” DreamWorks have today liberated this new UK poster for Shawn Levy’s upcoming family action-drama ‘Real Steel.’ The film comes to cinemas October 7th, 2011 and features a fine cast in Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly, Kevin Durand, Anthony Mackie, Dakota Goyo, Hope Davis and James Rebhorn.
A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, “Real Steel” stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

Yahoo have debuted this new trailer for Shawn Levy’s Rocky meets Transformers flick ‘Real Steel.’ To be honest this film baffles me, a movie with Hugh Jackman training robots………I don’t get it, I would have loved to be in the meetings when they were pitching this film, I’m completely confuzzled! ‘Real Steel’ comes to cinemas October 7th, 2011 and stars Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly, Kevin Durand, Anthony Mackie, Dakota Goyo, Hope Davis and James Rebhorn.

Super Bowl TV Spot For J.J. Abrams’ Top Secret Movie ‘Super 8′
Feb 7th

The Super Bowl TV Spot for J.J. Abrams’ top secret movie ‘Super 8′ has made it’s way online. At this point in time not much is known about the film, it reportedly revolves around three siblings who discover they’ve captured an alien in a reel of Super 8 film they’ve shot. The film is set to be a tribute to, and is produced by some fella named Steven Spielberg. Super 8 stars Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning , Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, Gabriel Basso and AJ Michalka.
Super 8 is definitely one of my most anticipated movies of 2011. Abrams is the man responsible for the hugely successful Star Trek reboot and Mission: Impossible III on the big screen, and Lost and Alias on TV. June 10th is the films release date, I’m there!
In-Depth Interview With Darren Aronofsky For ‘Black Swan’ – Starring Natalie Portman
Jan 17th
With the release of Black Swan in UK cinemas this Friday, and Natalie Portman securing the best actress award for her role as Nina at last night’s Golden Globes, what better time to unveil this interview with Darren Aronofsky. I’m pretty sure I’ve gushed over this film enough by now. All you need to know is that it’s engrossing, beautifully twisted and wholly fantabulous! Aronofsky’s been the man behind some of my favourite films of the last twelve years in The Wrestler, The Fountain, Requiem for a Dream and Pi. Check out what he had to say about the film below. Natalie Portman interview coming up in the next few days.
When did you first embark on Black Swan? Where did the idea come from?
Darren Aronofsky: My sister was a dancer growing up and she was very into ballet. It wasn’t really anything that I understood. But as I got older, I was thinking about worlds to set films in and I thought ballet could be an interesting world to explore. In addition, I was very interested in Dostoevsky’s ‘The Double’, which is a story about a guy who wakes up and his double is there, and the double starts to replace his life. Then I went to see a production of Swan Lake, which I thought was just a bunch of girls in tutus. I didn’t know what it was. But when I saw that there was a Black Swan and a White Swan, played by one dancer, and it was kind of a Eureka moment, it was like ‘oh wow, a double…’ So then it started to come together…
How long ago?
Darren Aronofsky: I met with Natalie eight or nine years ago. We met in Times Square and had a coffee and I had this idea for something set in the ballet world. It was slowly evolving over the years and it finally came together after The Wrestler. I was working on it with Mark (Heyman, screenwriter) and it was a very hard script to finish because understanding the ballet world was really complicated.
Was your sister hoping to become a professional dancer?
Darren Aronofsky: Well Patti got pretty far and she went to a professional ballet school, all the way through high school. And then once she got out of high school, she stopped. She realised that it wasn’t for her and now she does other stuff.
Did you have complete artistic freedom doing this film?
Darren Aronofsky: Fox Searchlight is very collaborative. They’ll argue with you but they basically trust their directors in general, or at least with me they did and they were very generous. The artistic freedom was controlled by the limitation of money and time.
Bond 23 Set For Release November 9th 2012 – Daniel Craig Will Return As James Bond!
Jan 11th

Those scoopmeisters over at Deadline have reported that Bond 23, the tentatively titled 23rd James Bond movie, has been pencilled in for a November 9th, 2012 release date. Oscar winning Director Sam Mendes is attached to helm the film and Daniel Craig will return as James Bond.
Bond 23 had been in development hell due to MGM’s ongoing financial woes, now with that situation seemingly settled we can finally look forward to a new James Bond flick! I’m a huge fan of Daniel Craig’s incarnation of James Bond, I LOVED Casino Royal (to a lesser degree Quantum Of Solace).
