Variety are reporting that RZA, who previously worked with Quentin Tarantino to score both volumes of ‘Kill Bill,’ has joined the cast of Tarantino’s next film ‘Django Unchained,’ a Sergio Leone inspired spaghetti western. RZA will play Thaddeus, “a violent slave working on a Mississippi plantation.”
Jamie Foxx will play the title role of Django (Jamie Foxx), a slave who is liberated and taught the tricks of the trade by a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz). Django’s real desire is to be reunited with his wife (Kerry Washington), who winds up in a variety of unsavory places and whose travails drive the plot. It leads to a confrontation in Candyland, a ranch owned by the notorious Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio).
‘Django Unchained’ also stars Tarantino regular Samuel L. Jackson, who will play the role of Rodney, Calvin Candie’s valet who keeps the slaves in line at Candie’s residence. The likes of Gerald McRaney, Dennis Christopher, Kurt Russell, Laura Cayouette, Laura Cayouette, Tom Savini, M.C. Gainey, Misty Upham, Don Johnson and possibly Joseph Gordon-Levitt will co-star. The film will pay homage to the Sergio Corbucci original ‘Django,’ Takashi Miike’s ‘Sukiyaki Western Django,’ which features Tarantino, and Elmore Leonard’s novel ’40 Lashes Less One.’ My hopes are ridiculously high for this film! Tarantino + spaghetti western = YES PLEASE! The film has been set for a Christmas Day 2012 release date by the Weinstein Company.

Empire have unveiled this great new UK poster for the forthcoming Paul Haggis film ‘The Next Three Days ‘. I attended a screening for this a few weeks back now, however considering I signed a non disclosure embargo these are my thoughts on the film_______________________________very________Russell Crowe____________________! *I enjoyed it*.
The Next Three Days is a remake of the French thriller ”Anything for Her” from writer/director Paul Haggis. After winning the Best Picture Oscar for Crash five years ago, Haggis directed In the Valley of Elah, and also co-wrote both Clint Eastwood’s Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima, as well as the last two Bond pictures. The Next Three Days features an outstanding cast in Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks, Olivia Wilde, Liam Neeson, Jonathan Tucker, Brian Dennehy, RZA and Sean Huze. The Next Three Days is set for release in the US on November 19th, and the UK January 7th, 2011.
Life seems perfect for John Brennan until his wife, Lara, is arrested for a gruesome murder she says she didn’t commit. Three years into her sentence, John is struggling to hold his family together, raising their son and teaching at college while he pursues every means available to prove her innocence. With the rejection of their final appeal, Lara becomes suicidal and John decides there is only one possible, bearable solution: to break his wife out of prison. Refusing to be deterred by impossible odds or his own inexperience, John devises an elaborate escape plot and plunges into a dangerous and unfamiliar world, ultimately risking everything for the woman he loves.

Those exclamation point lovers over at Yahoo! Movies! have released the first clip from The Next Three Days. In the clip ‘Damon Pennington (Liam Neeson) instructs John Brennan (Russell Crowe) on how to plan a prison break.’ I attended a screening for this film last week, however considering I signed a non disclosure embargo these are my thoughts on the film_______________________________very________Russell Crowe____________________!

The second poster for The Next Three Days has been released online and like the previous poster it’s first rate. After winning the Best Picture Oscar for Crash five years ago, Haggis directed In the Valley of Elah, and also co-wrote both Clint Eastwood’s Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima, as well as the last two Bond pictures. Crash was pure gold for me, this has all the right ingredients to be top notch as well. From the trailer this looks emotionally charged and about as tense as a porcupine in a balloon factory! The Next Three Days features an outstanding cast in Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks, Olivia Wilde, Liam Neeson, Jonathan Tucker, Brian Dennehy, RZA and Sean Huze.
