Michael Bay Talks About ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ – Plus A New Set Image
Jan 15th
Accompanying an interview with Michael Bay Hero Complex have got their hands on this new behind-the-scenes image of Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Bay on the set of ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’. In the interview the director points out how he wants people to forget the gigantic piece of excrement that was Transformers 2: “It was kind of a mess, wasn’t it?” an unsmiling Bay said of the 2009 film.’
“I’m still having fun and especially with this movie,” Bay said. ”Look, we got burned on the last movie. The big thing was the writers strike, it hurt the film and it made it hard on everybody. We had three weeks to get our story and, really, we were going into the movie without a script. It’s tough to do that. It was too big of a movie. There were too many endings or too many things that felt like endings. There was so much animation [in the visual effects postproduction work], too, and we ran out of time. We used the schedule of the first movie for the second movie but on the second one way more labor was needed for the animation. And then it felt like we were writing the script in the edit room, trying to put together a story.”
Transformers: Dark of The Moon comes to cinemas July 1st, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Julie White, Ken Jeong, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk and John Malkovich.
‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ Trailer Attached To The Upcoming Narnia Movie & Tron: Legacy
Nov 28th
Director Michael Bay recently took to his Forum to announce that the first teaser trailer for ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ will arrive in cinemas December 10th, attached to ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader,’ as well as advanced sneak previews of ‘Tron: Legacy.’ Bay also addressed the rumours surrounding Transformers: Dark of the Moon’s supposed problems with 3D:
Wow, I read these morons on the internet who think they are in the know. “We have have problems with our 3D????” Really? Come into my edit room and I will show you beautiful 3D. There has never been a live action show that has pushed the boundaries of 3D like Transformers 3. We shot the entire movie with 3D cameras. I actually loved shooting in 3D. I will give full details of my process and why I liked 3D in the next week right before the Transformers announcement piece comes out on Tron and Narnia.
To be honest with you I have low expectations for this, the last film in the series could be best described as a gigantic piece of excrement. You never know though, the first film was pretty entertaining, I’m intrigued to see how the trailer shapes up. Transformers: The Dark of The Moon comes to cinemas July 1st, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Julie White, Ken Jeong, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk, John Malkovich and is directed by Michael Bay.

Over the weekend both unofficial and official material for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon have made it’s way online. While unofficially tformers.com have got a snap of what seems to be a poster for the film – showing Shockwave peeking over the moon sinisterly.
To be honest with you I have VERY low expectations for this, the last film in the series could be best described as a gigantic piece of excrement. So far Michael Bay has savaged my fond memories of Transformers as a kid twice now! The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
