The film is released in cinemas April 6th.

When Will Shaw (Henry Cavill) arrives in Spain for a weeklong sailing vacation with his family, the stressed young business man is not in a holiday mood. His startup company just went under and his tense relationship with his disciplinarian father Martin (Bruce Willis) only makes matters worse. But when the family is kidnapped by what turns out to be intelligence agents hell-bent on recovering a mysterious suitcase, Will suddenly finds himself on the run. His whole world turns upside down when Martin reappears, revealing he is an undercover agent tangled in an intergovernmental web of lies and secrets. During a clandestine rendezvous, Martin is killed by a sniper, and Will must find a way to get the rest of his family back alive.

With the kidnappers counting down the hours, the Spanish police breathing down his neck for a murder he didn’t commit and a cadre of U.S. assassins on his trail, Will flees through Madrid, racing to piece together a conspiracy as labyrinthine as the city’s ancient streets. Who can he trust? Who killed his father? And where is the mysterious suitcase that seems to the key to getting his family come safely? In his quest for answers, Will finds Lucia (Veronica Echegui) – a half-sister he never knew he had, who is determined to help him. Bound by their shared kiss, the siblings are a force to be reckoned with, but can they overcome the massive odds against them before it’s too late?

What would you do if you found your own picture on a missing persons website? Teen Nathan Harper (Taylor Lautner) finds himself facing this very dilemma. Setting out to uncover his real identity, Nathan quickly learns his parents are far from who they say they are. When the police, government agents and shadowy figures start to pursue him, Nathan’s quest for the truth erupts into a full-blown “Bourne”-like man-on-the-run journey with the only person he can trust, his neighbour, Karen (Lily Collins). Every second counts as Nathan and Karen race to evade an army of bad guys and Agents. But as they close in, Nathan realizes that the only way he will survive and solve the mystery of his elusive biological father is to stop running and take matters into his own hands. ‘Abduction’ is out now in the US and is set for release in the UK September 30th. Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Michael Nyqvist, Sigourney Weaver, Antonique Smith, Denzel Whitaker, Nickola Shreli, Allen Williamson and William Peltz also star. Check out what Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins had to say about the film below.

Taylor, it’s been about six or seven years since your first movie with Robert Rodriguez. How are you finding making films now, what are the new things you learnt during ‘Abduction‘?

Taylor Lautner: I believe you can never stop learning and growing. I’ve been very fortunate to have been working since I was ten or eleven years old, I’ve learnt so much throughout the years from working with amazing directors and great actors as well. And this was really a huge step for me, it’s very different to anything I’ve done before. I think the biggest difference here was the cast, the cast we were surrounded by in this movie was unbelievable, it was truly an all-star cast in Sigourney Weaver, Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello – I really couldn’t have done it without them.

Lily, you’ve said before that when you are on a film set, you like to watch your co-stars in action, you like to learn from them. Was their anyone in particular out of this cast that you really learnt things from?

Lily Collins: I loved watching Sigourney Weaver, I think that she’s someone I’ve always admired, and her career spans so many different genres. Tthe idea that she was going to be a part of this movie was very exciting, she really wanted to be a part of this movie, that was really cool. I went to set during the filming of the therapy session scene – I wasn’t filming that day but I really wanted to watch and see how she is, see how she switches from one emotion to another, and then when they shout cut, she’s Sigourney again. She’s so funny and she’s really just an amazing woman. I really love watching them out of their element and in their element.

You mentioned Jason Isaacs, can you tell us a little about the fight scene with him?

Taylor Lautner: It was awesome! We were very friendly by that point, he’s hilarious, he is so funny. I have looked up to him for a while, ever since I saw him as the bad guy in ‘The Patriot.’ And don’t get me wrong, he’s done so many roles, but this was kind of different for him, we really get to see his humour in this movie, as well as different areas, but during that scene it was just fun, because we had gloves on so we literally were like, ‘Let’s go for it,’ and he was whacking me the whole time. But it was fun, there were no serious injuries or anything, maybe a few bruises the next day.

I’ve heard about an injury on the set though, there was another fight scene that you mentioned on your David Letterman interview.

Taylor Lautner: (Laughs) Oh no! There’s this brutal fight scene in the train and it was me and Ilia, who’s the other actor, and we were doing the fight ourselves. So we’re doing this scene and towards the end of the scene I’m supposed to throw an uppercut, and of course we’re faking it, so I’m not really punching him. But the stunt co-ordinator comes up to us both and says, ‘The uppercut is not selling. Taylor you need to extend your arm more and Ilia you need to stick your chin out more so we can sell the uppercut.’ And I’m like, ‘Ok let’s do this,‘ and the very next take, sure enough I extend more, he sticks his chin out more and pop! I just connected right in that spot where it just puts you out, and this guys huge and so intimidating and he just goes bang, he was out for like two seconds. It was very scary at first, and I felt terrible, especially when he stood up and he had a chunk of……sorry……a chunk of skin hanging out of his lip. And he’s like, ‘I’m fine, I’m good, let’s just keep going,’ and I’m like, ‘Ilia you really need to look at your lip, it’s not good.’ He was very nice about it but I felt so bad (laughs).

Lily Collins: There aren’t many people who could take down a six foot five Russian guy!

So Lily, how did you get involved with the film?

Lily Collins: I read the script and really really loved it. I loved that Karen was not your typical girl next door, she was spunky, she spoke up, she gained self-confidence throughout the film and she turned into this young woman.

Taylor Lautner: I will take it from here. Everybody from the very beginning knew that Lily was the only person for this role. She was the only girl I read with – that was all we needed to see.

Lily Collins: We also had seen each other and hung out at multiple events throughout the last couple of years. We happened to run into each other the night after I’d read the script at an event, and I brought it up and it just kind of snowballed from there.

When it came to the fighting in this film, did you have to reign back on your own martial arts skills because the character is perhaps not as adept as you? Speaking to Jason Isaacs earlier, he’s pretty confident you could have wiped the floor with him…

Taylor Lautner: (Laughs) Jason was pretty impressive. There was a few times where I just wanted to go crazy and I wanted to throw flips and stuff – there was one flip that made it in there, but yeah, there were a few times where I’d kind of throw a few moves where they’d be like, ‘Taylor, Nathan doesn’t know how to do that, so you can’t do that!’ So yeah, there were a few times where I was a little frustrated. But it’s true, I had to take a step back, the biggest thing we wanted to do with this movie was to make it seem as real and grounded as possible. And you know it helps when you have the real actors doing the stunts, and Lily and I were able to do the majority of our stunts in this movie, which was very exciting for us, but also makes the movie that much more realistic.

You’ve mentioned all the great actors in this film and yet yours is the name on top of the poster. Does that bring an extra pressure to it? Does it feel like you’re on the brink of breaking away from the Twilight angle? And also for you Lily, with your next project as Snow White.

Lily Collins: It is very strange when it’s Snow White and everyone calls you Snow White. It’s kind of a weird thought that you’re the character that the whole story is about. But just being able to work with people like Julia Roberts and Nathan Lane, being in their presence, let alone being on screen with them, for me is a complete honour and I learn so much from them. But then being the one at work every single day and the first on the call sheet is a weird concept. I mean, I’m the one who saves the call sheets because I think I’m never going to be number one again, that’s my mentality anyway. I’m still really excited about getting chances like this. I’m in this for the passion and I hope to continue working. I feel really lucky so far to have gotten the roles that I’ve gotten and for them to have the arcs that they’ve had in the story, and not just be one dimensional.

Taylor Lautner: This for me, this was a very surreal experience for me, and definitely a dream come true. you know, I couldn’t have done it alone, I really couldn’t have. I had a lot of help in the cast and the crew and our director. But this experience was amazing and with this project specifically I just went with my heart. I mean, I tried to not over-think what should be next, what I should be doing. The very first time I heard this idea I knew that I wanted it to be my next project, and was very thankful and fortunate that it was able to be.

Taylor, was it nice to be involved with a project that wasn’t Twilight?

Taylor Lautner: Yes and no. That franchise and that character means so much to me. That coming to an end is a very bittersweet feeling. But yes absolutely, as an actor I want to be able to challenge myself to a wide variety of roles. This movie and this character couldn’t be more different to Jacob and Twilight, and that’s why, or one of the major reasons, I was attracted to this. It was great to try something new and I had an amazing time with it.

You’ve become close friends with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson – did you miss them on the set of this movie?

Taylor Lautner: It was a little different at first. We’re definitely great friends, but I knew that as soon as I was done filming this that I was going back to spend seven months filming the last two with them. So I knew I was going to get enough of them then (laughs). With this it was great to be with new with people, and be with Lily, and everyone else we’ve mentioned.

Bloody-Disgusting have liberated this new international poster for the eagerly anticipated supernatural thriller ‘Red Lights.’ This film is one I’ve got extremely high hopes for as it’s director/writer Rodrigo Cortes’ follow-up to ’Buried’ – a film which exuded a seemingly impossible amount of gripping drama out of its claustrophobic premise. ‘Red Lights’ revolves around a pair of skeptical investigators (Sigourney Weaver, Cillian Murphy) on a mission to reveal practitioners of psychic arts (Robert De Niro) as phonies. Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene) co-stars.

A film about how the brain does not give a true picture of reality. Sigourney Weaver will play Margaret Matheson in a film that follows a para-psychologist who attempts to debunk a very reputable psychic who has just returned to the limelight after 30 years.

In the film, De Niro stars as Simon Silver, a legendary psychic, perhaps the most famously gifted of all time, who returns after thirty years of mysterious absence to become the world’s greatest challenge to orthodox science and professional skeptics. Meanwhile, paranormal fraud investigator Tom (Murphy) begins to develop a dense obsession Silver, whose magnetism is enhanced dangerously with each new manifestation of inexplicable phenomena.

‘Abduction’ is set for release September 23rd in the US, and September 30th in the UK. Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Michael Nyqvist, Sigourney Weaver, Antonique Smith, Denzel Whitaker, Nickola Shreli, Allen Williamson and William Peltz also star. Check out what Taylor Lautner had to say about the film below.

Since Twilight, you look like you have definitely slimmed down a bit, a little less bulky.

Taylor Lautner: A little bit, right?

Is it nice not to have to keep up the whole regimen of working out and eating so much?

Taylor Lautner: It is, it’s just a different kind of working out now. Now I get to stay more active and play more sports, which is a treat for me, I can pretty much eat what I want – which is not necessarily junk because I’ve always eaten pretty healthy. I just don’t have to force myself to eat when I’m not hungry now. I don’t have somebody coming and shoving food down my throat every five minutes (laughs). It’s great!

What specifically drew you to this script and character in the first place?

Taylor Lautner: In the first place, it was this character, Nathan’s journey. Just hearing the idea of the script and where the character starts and where he ends, and everything he deals with, I knew it would be exciting and challenging for me, as an actor. Originally that’s what attracted me to it. I read the script like a book, I could not stop turning the pages, I loved the character, everything he goes through in the story. Nathan changes a lot, overall it was a challenging role for me, and that’s what I wanted to do next. It was physically challenging and also emotionally challenging.

Nathan is a normal High School kid, he has fun with his friends, parties, argues with his parents, girl problems – all that normal teenage stuff. And then he’s thrown into a situation that turns his whole life upside down, he has to adjust to that and turns into a completely different person by the end of the movie.

Was getting to do some Parkour fun?

Taylor Lautner: It was, definitely. It wasn’t actually in the script, that was actually true for the Parkour and also with the glass pane that I slide down – neither of those were in the script. But, when we went to the baseball stadium and looked at it, we were like, ‘Oh, we’ve got to figure out a way to incorporate this giant glass jumbo slide into it somehow.’ And that’s the same with the Parkour. We just came up with an idea where the bad guy literally knocks people over, running in a straight line, and then Nathan is just all polite and does Parkour around the stadium, to not run into people.

What was it like to work with Lily Collins?

Taylor Lautner: She was great! She was awesome. Lily is super-talented, I’m so excited for people to see her in this movie. Now she’s taken off and going off and doing other things. It was just a matter of time before she was discovered. We had a lot of fun on this movie.

She had some physical stunts to do with you as well.

Taylor Lautner: Yeah, she’s with me, besides the stadium for the most part, she’s with me the entire time. Pretty much everything I’m doing, she’s doing. She was a tough cookie. She enjoyed it though. We had fun doing stunts. She was actually just as bad as me, she wanted to do everything as well, and I was like the insurance going, ‘I don’t know if you should do that,’ (laughs).

How was it working alongside the likes of Jason Isaacs and Sigourney Weaver? You‘re surrounding by some amazing actors in this film.

Taylor Lautner: Jason Isaacs is one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met. The relationship in the film is really intense, he’s really stern with Nathan. But before cameras role we were joking around, and as soon as cameras role we’ve got to go into this mode. We spent a lot of time choreographing that fight scene, that was pretty cool.

With Sigourney Weaver, when I heard she was going to be playing this role I was like, ’no way!’ (Laughs) I couldn’t believe I was having the opportunity to work with Sigourney Weaver. We filmed for a week together, it was so much fun. She is so gracious, such an awesome woman to work with. I learned a lot from her, I’m just honoured to say I worked with her.

I heard much of the scene during the Baseball game was shot during an actual game?

Taylor Lautner: We did film one day during an actual game, the Pirates played the Mets. The stadium was sold out, it was awesome – it was hectic because we only had three hours to shoot everything, so that was pretty tough. Actually it was the shortest baseball game I’ve ever been to (laughs), it lasted two hours and eighteen minutes, so we ran out of time, it was a lot of fun, we got some great shots in. After that we had four days where we had the stadium to ourselves.

Where do you see yourself two years from now, after all of the Twilight movies are done? What direction do you want to go in?

Taylor Lautner: That’s a good question. If you had asked me that question two years ago, I would not have guessed that I would be sitting here today. My goal is to continue to challenge myself to do a wide variety of roles and genres. Another thing that attracted me to this was that it was different than anything I had ever done before, and I had a great experience with it. I love it, but now I am definitely looking forward to doing something completely different.

Do you feel like you need to take a break at all, or do you feel like you should keep the momentum going by just diving right into something else?

Taylor Lautner: It’s a good question. I’m having fun right now. I’m promoting and I’m travelling, which I really enjoy. I love travelling, so I’m definitely good to still go. But, I definitely find time to relax, and I definitely find my downtime.

Were you a fan of John Singleton before you got involved in this? Had you seen a lot of his movies?

Taylor Lautner: Yes, I was definitely familiar with his work and knew he was very talented. We had a fun time together. I think the biggest thing he brought was just passion. That’s the biggest thing that everybody brought to this movie – the entire cast, the crew and him. We were all so passionate about this movie that we gave it our all. I think that’s the biggest thing everybody brought to it. He’s one of the most passionate people I’ve ever met. He taught me a lot – which is all I can ask for. He’s great with the action, but even more importantly, he pulls emotion out of every single character.

Was it fun to get to use your martial arts training? How different is movie martial arts from real martial arts?

Taylor Lautner: It was very exciting that I got to use it for the first time in a movie. It is different because it’s all choreographed, but it was definitely exciting. What was also exciting was being able to learn new things, like boxing, the motorcycle riding and wrestling. Those were all very new for me. I had to do about three months of training in all of those aspects before filming, which was a lot of fun. I wanted to make sure that when I showed up to Pittsburgh to film, I actually looked like I knew what I was doing.

Which training did you like most?

Taylor Lautner: I really enjoyed the boxing, it was a great workout. It’s very different than martial arts, so I had to drop everything I knew and start brand new and fresh, which was exciting for me. It’ so looseand flowey, martial arts is more stiff and mire about strength and structure. It’s such a great workout because my sessions were an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half, but by the end of it, you barely even realize you worked out that hard and you are just dripping wet.

Check out what Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs had to say about the film below.

How did you find working alongside Taylor Lautner and Maria Bello? Your character really gets into the thick of the action.

Jason Isaacs: Taylor is not only a fabulous actor, and a lovely, very curious, hungry to learn guy. But he’s also an immensely physically gifted athlete. So whilst I was working on my fight for weeks, choreographing it as best I can and running it through the stunt men, I showed it to him once and he had it better than me instantly (laughs). The difficult thing for Taylor with the fight sequences in this film, I think, is to hold back, not to look like Bruce Lee. He’s so good at it, he’s so brilliant at it, he has such poise and balance, that he has to use all his storytelling skills to make us feel that he’s in danger, because he can frankly take the entire crew with his hands tied behind his back (laughs).

I’ve been a big fan of Maria Bello for a very long time, she worked with a friend of mine on ‘A History of Violence,’ so I’d watched her and heard lovely stories about her. They all turned out to be true – she’s a fantastic actress and very easy on the eye as well.

How did you find it Sigourney, working with Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins, these two young talents?

Sigourney Weaver: I love working with young people. At our theatre in New York, The Flea, we have a different young company every year. We have about fifty young actors, a very diverse group from all over. And what I love about our industry is working with all generations. We are all equals, no one is this and someone else is that; everyone is doing the same work professionally, together. I find it very exciting. So working with Taylor and Lily I just feel like the whole ensemble was just very copasetic. It was an intense movie. Everyone brought their best to it and in between set ups we’d goof around and do stupid things together, fat booth – fat photo booth (laughs). Just goofy things, you know? I really enjoyed it.

What was it like working with John Singleton on this film?

Jason Isaacs: I’ve loved John Singleton’s films, many of them, for a long time. So when the chance comes up to work with someone like that you say yes instantly, for whatever it is. ‘Abduction’ is something slightly atypical for him, I think that’s why he’s a great director, because he brings those skills that aren’t always required for the action genre – it’s about character and those details of personality that make a film live. So within the scenes me and Maria are playing with Taylor mostly, he allows us to improvise, he creates an atmosphere of play, but always focused on trying to make this thing have texture. It’s a big film, its got a certain commercial sensibility to the driving narrative, but within that he’s weaving three dimensional things. I think he’s making it richer, more watchable, and hopefully something that will bare repeat viewings – because there’s many layers of secrecy to this film.

Sigourney Weaver: I love John Singleton, he’s such a film lover and has such extensive knowledge of film. I never took a film course in my life so to hear him just talk about all these different genres and everything, he really knows his stuff. He is a director I admire and I was delighted to get a chance to work with him.

You’re busier now than you’ve ever been.

Sigourney Weaver: I know and I really like it because people go, ‘Oh, but this is a small part,’ but I really don’t think of it that way. To me it was a part that’s tricky, and I was asked to do something that I’ve never done. I actually think it’s much harder to play a small part than to carry a movie. I’ve carried a movie plenty of times, but to go in and do what you’re supposed to do and serve the movie in that way, it’s always different, you know? I enjoyed that and I found it challenging, I’ve learned a lot from it.

Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Michael Nyqvist, Sigourney Weaver, Antonique Smith, Denzel Whitaker, Nickola Shreli, Allen Williamson and William Peltz also star. Check out what Lily Collins had to say about the film below.

Can you tell us a little bit about your character in the film, Karen, I can imagine she was a lot of fun to play?

Lily Collins: Yeah definitely, Karen and Nathan have had this relationship, we don’t necessarily know how far it went, but we allude to this awkward situation that we had a few years ago. In the beginning it’s that awkward teen phase between the two of us. But in the end she turns out to be a real partner in crime with him, a confidant, a rock for him. She’s a very confident young woman, she’s a very strong character. She gets into all the action with Taylor Lautner’s character Nathan, she’s not just running around on his arm being the ‘girl’ in the story – which is very cool to play (laughs). They go through a huge evolution, he needs her as much as she needs him, it’s very balanced.

Going on this journey alongside Taylor Lautner, how was that?

Lily Collins: Taylor Lautner is a very daring boy, in general (laughs). He has obviously trained in martial arts since he was very young. He’s all about action, he knows how to do crazy flips, he’s not afraid to go there and do all that himself. He’s very confident and very determined, that’s what Nathan is in the end. He has to go on this journey and be independent, whilst still being protective. Taylor’s hilarious, he’s got great comedic timing, I think he’s going to surprise a lot of people with this film. He goes from emotion to emotion, from sadness to compassion to rage to humour, every scene is different. He’s a very complex teenager in the film. I think Taylor is really maturing as an actor in general, from the Twilight sagas to now. Taylor is just the perfect guy to play Nathan, he’s got that action background, and drive that Nathan has.

I’ve heard that director John Singleton gets engrossed when he’s directing?

Lily Collins: John Singleton, wow, he’s probably one of the more fun directors I’ve ever worked with. My favourite thing that he does is when he yells action, he doesn’t just say, ‘Action,’ he yells, ‘OK, action, GO,’ (laughs) he gets so excited, he gets everyone so amped up for the scenes. When we were shooting he wanted me to fall in this cool way, because we were running through the forest – he literally plummeted down the hill himself and said to me, ‘I want you to try to do that.’ He really gets into it, into the action. He knows exactly what he wants to get, he really knows what he wants to capture. So when it comes to lighting he’s already got the story-board mapped out. He’s so in tune to portray what he wants to get out of us, he’s a real actors director.

MTV have liberated this debut teaser trailer for the supernatural thriller ‘Red Lights.’ This film is one I’ve got extremely high hopes for as it’s director/writer Rodrigo Cortes’ follow-up to ’Buried’ – a film which exuded a seemingly impossible amount of gripping drama out of its claustrophobic premise.
