Italian Poster For Simon Pegg & Nick Frost’s ‘Paul’
Dec 30th
BadTaste.it have got their mitts on this new Italian poster Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s latest collaboration ‘Paul’, an extra-terrestrial comedy directed by Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland). This film is among my most anticipated films of 2011. ‘Paul’ features a first rate supporting cast in Jane Lynch, Seth Rogen, Sigourney Weaver, Kristen Wiig, Jason Bateman, Bill Hader, Jeffrey Tambor and David Koechner. Look out for this in cinemas March 18th 2011. Both Pegg and Frost are two of my favourite comedic actors working today, I expect full blown hilariousment to ensue with this flick!
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America’s UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever.
For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-travelling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town—a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Collings (Frost). Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes.
Debut Trailer & Poster For ‘Cedar Rapids’ – Starring Ed Helms, John C. Reilly & Isiah Whitlock Jr
Dec 23rd
Fox Searchlight have let out the bag the debut trailer for Miguel Arteta’s (Youth in Revolt) Cedar Rapids. The film is premiering at the Sundance Film Festival next month and features a bumper cast in Ed Helms, John C. Reilly, Sigourney Weaver, Anne Heche, Stephen Root, Kurtwood Smith, Alia Shawkat, Mike O’Malley, Rob Corddry, Isiah Whitlock Jr and Seth Morris. It’s great seeing Ed Helms in a lead role, he’s been putting in some great comedic performances over the last few years. Overall the trailer brings a tonne of laughs….especially the last part with Clay Davis Isiah Whitlock Jr’s nod to The Wire. Cedar Rapids will hit cinemas Feb. 11th, 2011.
To call insurance agent Tim Lippe (Ed Helms), “naive” is a gross understatement. He’s never left his small hometown. He’s never stayed at a hotel. And he’s never experienced anything like Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Sent to represent his company at the annual insurance convention, Tim is soon distracted by three convention veterans (John C. Reilly, Anne Heche and Isiah Whitlock Jr.) who will show him the ropes and push his boundaries. For a guy who plays everything by the book, this convention will be anything but conventional.
