This new image has emerged online, via MOS Facebook page, of Henry Cavill in his full Superman garb posing with a young fan on the set of Zack Snyder’s ‘Superman: Man of Steel.’ Alongside Cavill, the film also stars Amy Adams as the plucky journalist Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora, Laurence Fishburn as Perry White, Richard Schiff as Dr. Hamilton, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Superman’s Kryptonian father, Ayelet Zureras as Superman’s Kryptonian mother Lara Lor-Van, Kevin Costner as Superman/Clarke’s adoptive father Jonathan Kent, and Diane Lane, who plays his wife Martha. Written by David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan, the film is set for release June 14th, 2013.

Ayelet Zurer To Play Superman’s Kryptonian Mother Lara Lor-Van In ‘Man Of Steel’

Deadline are reporting that Zack Snyder has made a last-minute casting change for his upcoming ‘Man of Steel,’ with Ayelet Zurer (Angels & Demons, Munich, Vantage Point) assuming the role of Superman’s Kryptonian mother Lara Lor-Van. Julia Ormond was previously linked to the role, on the reasoning for the casting change Deadline were unable to find out why Snyder made the last-minute change. A number of images have been snapped from the set of Zack Snyder’s upcoming ‘Superman: Man Of Steel,’ providing us with a closer look at Henry Cavill in his Superman costume – which for much of the images is cape-less, presumably to make it easier to film a fight sequence.
