Aug 15th
Lionsgate has unleashed this new “Airport” clip from Simon West’s ‘The Expendables 2,’ showcasing Jean-Claude Van Damme and Scott Adkins’ team facing off against Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and the band of Expendables. The testosterone-filled film sees Sylvester Stallone’s Barney Ross, Jason Statham’s Lee Christmas, Jet Li’s Yin Yang, Dolph Lundgren’s Gunnar Jensen, Terry Crews’ Hale Caesar, Randy Couture’s Toll Road, Bruce Willis’ Mr. Church, and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Trent ‘Trench’ Mauser return from ‘The Expendables.’ The likes of Chuck Norris’ J.B ‘The Lone Wolf’ Booker, Liam Hemsworth’s Bill ‘The Kid’ Timmons, Scott Adkins’ Hector, Nan Yu’s Maggie, Amanda Ooms’ Pilar and Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Jean Vilain join the fray in ‘The Expendables 2.’ In this sequel, Mr. Church reunites the Expendables for what should be an easy paycheck, but when one of their men is murdered on the job, their quest for revenge puts them deep in enemy territory and up against an unexpected threat. ‘The Expendables 2′ arrives in cinemas August 17th. My interviews for the film can be read here (lots more to come): Sylvester Stallone and Liam Hemsworth.
The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way….

First Official Look At Arnold Schwarzenegger & Sylvester Stallone In ‘The Tomb’
Aug 13th
The Wall Street Journal has premiered this official look at Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone in the forthcoming action-thriller ‘The Tomb.’ Directed by Swedish filmmaker Mikael Håfström (1408, The Rite), ’The Tomb’ follows Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone), who is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He’s analyzed every high security prison and has gained a vast array of survival skills. But all Ray’s ingenuity and knowledge are about to be put to work in the most challenging test he’s ever faced: escaping from the master prison of his own design. Arnold Schwarzenegger, in the role of Church, plays a complex inmate with multiple shades of grey. He’s the guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity in their darkest hour as they struggle together to stay alive. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone will next be seen on screen together in ‘The Expendables 2,’ which is arriving in cinemas later this week. Arnold Schwarzenegger just wrapped filming Jee-woon Kim’s ’The Last Stand,’ while Sylvester Stallone has ‘Bullet to the Head scheduled for a Febuary, 2013 release.
The two action icons are joined by the likes of Vincent D’Onofrio, Vinnie Jones, Sam Neil, Amy Ryan, Faran Tahir, Matt Gerald, Jim Caviezel and 50 Cent in ‘The Tomb.’ Jim Caviezel plays Hobbes, the warden of the Tomb. This is the type of prison facility that deals with inmates that no government wants on its books. The lead guard of the maximum-security facility, Drake, is played by English actor and retired footballer Vinnie Jones. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson plays Hush, Ray Breslin’s right-hand man and high-technology expert. Buttoned-down with street lurking just below the surface, Hush is aptly named because when he speaks, it is just above a whisper…but it’s a whisper with attitude and edge that can turn from soft to drop dead serious in the blink of an eye. Vincent D’Onofrio plays Lester Clark, Breslin’s business partner and CEO of B&C Security, their independent security company hired by the Federal Bureau of Prisons to test the integrity of their maximum-security facilities nationwide. Amy Ryan plays Abigail Ross, jack-of-all trades and one of Beslin’s closest confidants at B&C Security. Sam Neil is cast as Dr. Emil Kaikev, the prison doctor embedded within the Tomb, who is sympathetic to Breslin’s plight. The production details for ‘The Tomb’ can be read below. Look out for the film sometime in 2013.

What do you think is the appeal to the audience about the “Expendables” characters? Your more relatable, real-deal, hard-boiled justice-seekers.
Sylvester Stallone: I think the characters appeal to the audience because they harken back to a time when our heroes were flesh and blood, they didn’t have an extraordinary abilities – other than the desire to survive and to be victorious, even at the cost of their own lives. There’s something that’s relatable about it because they are flesh and blood. What I like about the “Expendables”, especially in this story, is that these guys put their lives on the line for a cause. For ‘The Expendables 2,’ we’ve pulled together the most phenomenal action-adventure cast that I’ve ever been involved with. We are bringing back that old time rock ‘n roll, and giving audiences what that they haven’t seen for a while: visceral, true-to-life action.
Liam Hemsworth Interview For ‘The Expendables 2′

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — five tons of weapons-grade plutonium, far more than enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. ‘The Expendables 2′ arrives in cinemas August 17th.
In ‘The Expendables 2’ you play a new member to “The Expendables” team, Billy the Kid. Can you tell us about Billy when we meet him in the film?
Liam Hemsworth: Sure. Billy the Kid, he’s the new young gun “Expendable” in the group. He’s been trained as a sniper, he’s been in the army for three years. When we meet him in the film he’s just left the army, and “The Expendables” were looking for a new person for the group and he got the job. He’s a good kid, he’s a really good sniper. I’ve got a security guard friend who’s an ex-sniper, so I asked him a lot of questions about his missions, what he had been on, what it was like, what we wears, just the frame of mind and those kinds of things. That was kind of my research I guess, it was more about being really healthy and fit. I was running a lot, keeping it really militant I guess (laughs).
