Aug 1st
“Give us this day, our daily pizza, and let us digest it.” The official Facebook page for ‘The Campaign’ has released this new clip from the film featuring Cam Brady’s (Will Ferrell) version of the “Lord’s Prayer”. ‘The Campaign’ follows rival politicians (Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis) in a small congressional district in South Carolina. Ferrell plays a congressman who becomes embroiled in a public scandal, opening the door to a challenge from an unlikely Beltway outsider (Galifianakis). The likes of Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Josh Lawson, Gary Grubbs, P.J Byrne, and Dan Aykroyd co-star star in the flick, which is scheduled for a August 10th release in the US and September 28th in the UK. Shawn Harwell and frequent Ferrell collaborator Chris Henchy wrote the screenplay, while Jay Roach directs.
When long-term congressman Cam Brady (Will Ferrell) commits a major public gaffe before an upcoming election, a pair of ultra-wealthy CEOs plot to put up a rival candidate and gain influence over their North Carolina district. Their man: naïve Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis), director of the local Tourism Center. At first, Marty appears to be the unlikeliest possible choice but, with the help of his new benefactors’ support, a cutthroat campaign manager and his family’s political connections, he soon becomes a contender who gives the charismatic Cam plenty to worry about.
