Teaser Posters for Captain America: The First Avenger & Thor

Yahoo have got their hands on the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive posters for Marvel Studios’ and Paramount Pictures’ Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor. I for one am a fan, they both look vibrant and energetic, I love the concept art style, I really hope they don’t go with the unoriginal floating head style posters in the future because with these they’re off to a great start. I haven’t been a huge fan of what I’ve seen from Thor so far, but this…..I most certainly like!!
First Image Of Anthony Hopkins & Tom Hiddleston In Thor. Marvel Also Confirm Thor Will Be 3D

La Times: Hero Complex Blog have released the first official picture of Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Tom Hiddleston as Loki in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. To boot we also get our first look at Thor’s (Chris Hemswroth) hammer. Along with the photo comes the announcement that both Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger will officially be going 3D. Thor also stars Darth Vader’s baby mama (Natalie Portman), Idris Elba, Stellan Skarsgard and Jaimie Alexander amongst a whole host of others. “We came to feel that in our case 3-D could be the very good friend of story and character for a different kind of experience,” Branagh said, taking a break from post-production. The filmmaker said the terminology of the 3-D process initially made him cringe — at first, it was “math and physics and way over my head,” he said with a chuckle — but then he started to pulse with the unexpected artistic opportunities.

The majority of this set visit report is filled up by an interview with Darth Vader’s baby mama (Natalie Portman) and Chris Hemsworth, you do get a good look at some of the stars in costume though, particularly Anthony Hopkins……If you judge your films by the beards involved, this looks like it will be a modern classic!
Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, “Thor,” which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Idris Elba Joins The Cast Of Thor

Idris Elba one of the nicest guys in the film industry and who just about everyone who has watched The Wire loves, has joined the cast of Thor as Heimdell the guardian. Recently added to the cast were the Warriors Three, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, and Stuart Townsend. The rest of the cast includes Chris Hemsworth (as Thor), Anthony Hopkins (Odin), and Natalie Portman. The film starts shooting January 2010 and is set to be released May 2011. Thor is to be directed by Kenneth Branagh. I’m looking forward to this!
