The American Trailer – Starring George Clooney
May 4th
Everyone pretty much likes George Clooney, even the internet haters, which when considering he was the worst Batman in cinema history (yes he was worse than Val Kilmer) and the fact that your Mum, Sister, Aunt, Girlfriend, Wife, Grandma, Dog fancies him is a fine achievement. He pretty much wins everyone over with his effortless charm and humour (another reason to hate on him), and now he is playing an Assassin which will give him even more brownie points, especially on the manly side of things. I’m stoked for this film, the trailer looks great, you can tell that director Anton Corbijn is an accomplished Photographer , the film looks beautiful. The American is directed by Anton Corbijn and also stars Bruce Altman, Thekla Reuten, Paolo Bonacelli and Violante Placido. It’s is in cinemas September 1, 2010.
Alone among assassins, Jack is a master craftsman. When a job in Sweden ends more harshly than expected for this American abroad, he vows to his contact Larry that his next assignment will be his last. Jack reports to the Italian countryside, where he holes up in a small town and relishes being away from death for a spell. The assignment, as specified by a Belgian woman, Mathilde, is in the offing as a weapon is constructed. Surprising himself, Jack seeks out the friendship of local priest Father Benedetto and pursues romance with local woman Clara. But by stepping out of the shadows, Jack may be tempting fate.
Three New Posters For The Last Airbender (Edit)
May 4th
M. Night Shyamalan made three successive films (The Happening, Lady In The Water and The Village) so bad they were quite possibly the greatest unintentional comedies of all time, if you add there running times together it comes to 308 minutes of my life I will NEVER get back, I refer to them as ‘The Great Trilogy Of Sh*tness’. But for some reason I still have faith, I’m really hoping this is a return to form, these three posters are great and in fact everything I’ve seen from this film so far has been stunning, on another positive note at least we know it won’t have a rage inducing and completely pointless plot twist.
New Poster For Christopher Nolan’s Inception
Apr 29th
If you read my blog regularly you probably know I’ve made it no secret how much I’m looking forward to this. Nolan Fans discovered this poster through a Mind Crime viral game online, where someone ‘spotted a new poster for Inception while travelling through one of the parks in the game’. The poster is great, I love his film’s psychological undertones, I’ve got a feeling this will completely blow my mind, the poster alone makes me feel a queasy! Hopefully a better quality version of the poster will be release online soon
Bond 23 (And Possibly The Hobbit) Delayed ‘Indefinitely’
Apr 20th

Producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli (her name sounds like a crap cartoon characters) have issued a joint statement saying that work on the twenty-third film in the James Bond franchise – which was planned for release sometime in 2011 or 2012, has been shelved indefinitely. This most certainly means delays for The Hobbit as well, which I’m a lot more upset about if I’m honest, I’ve never been a huge James Bond fan, even though I prefer the new Daniel Craig incarnation. Hopefully MGM can get their finances in order asap and the talent surrounding both films can stick around, especially Directors Sam Mendes and Guillermo Del Toro.
‘Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on ‘Bond 23′ indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of ‘Bond 23.’
Knight and Day International Movie Trailer – Starring Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz
Apr 16th
This looks like it could be good popcorn fun, the action scenes look great – in a ludicrously over the top way! I’m not the biggest Tom Cruise or Cameron Diaz fan so I haven’t paid too much attention to this, I am an admirer of Director James Mangold though, he’s made some great films – Walk The Line, 3:10 To Yuma, Girl, Interrupted and Identity. From the looks of the trailer this looks like it could join that list. Knight and Day is set for release in the UK July 14th.
Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz star in the action-comedy KNIGHT AND DAY. During their glamorous, globe-trotting and sometimes deadly adventure, nothing and no one – even the now fugitive couple – are what they seem. Amid shifting alliances and unexpected betrayals, they race across the world with their survival ultimately hinging on the battle of truth vs. trust.
Directed by James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma, Walk the Line, Girl, Interrupted), KNIGHT AND DAY stars Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible franchise, Tropic Thunder, Jerry Maguire) and Cameron Diaz (Charlie’s Angels franchise, There’s Something About Mary,), alongside Peter Sarsgaard (An Education, Orphan), Maggie Grace (TV series ‘Lost’, Taken), Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood, Little Miss Sunshine), Marc Blucas (Meet Dave, First Daughter), Viola Davis (Law Abiding Citizen, State of Play) and Jordi Mollà (Che Part 2, Bad Boys 2).
The Wolfman – A Look Inside Feature
Dec 10th

I’ve been looking forward to this for a long long time now, there was a point when I had given up hope after the release date kept getting moved around (it was originally scheduled to be released November 12, 2008), talk of re-shoots, change of composer and change of directors. Yet the newest trailer got me hooked, after all this Twilight crap we need a good Wherewolf/monster film!
Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, THE WOLFMAN brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins. Oscar® winner Benicio Del Toro stars as Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. Reunited with his estranged father (Oscar® winner Anthony Hopkins), Talbot sets out to find his brother…and discovers a horrifying destiny for himself.
Lawrence Talbot’s childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. But when his brother’s fiancée, Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt), tracks him down to help find her missing love, Talbot returns home to join the search. He learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline (Hugo Weaving) has come to investigate.
As he pieces together the gory puzzle, he hears of an ancient curse that turns the afflicted into werewolves when the moon is full. Now, if he has any chance at ending the slaughter and protecting the woman he has grown to love, Talbot must destroy the vicious creature in the woods surrounding Blackmoor. But as he hunts for the nightmarish beast, a simple man with a tortured past will uncover a primal side to himself…one he never imagined existed.
