Mar 23rd
With the films release on the horizon, Warner Bros continue their promotional onslaught by releasing these five new clips from Jonathan Liebesman’s (Battle: Los Angeles) ‘Clash Of the Titans’ sequel, ‘Wrath of the Titans.’ Involved in all the sword and sandals shenanigans are Sam Worthington (Perseus), Ralph Fiennes (Hades), Liam Neeson (Zeus), Danny Huston (Poseidon), Edgar Ramiez (Ares), Bill Nighy (Hephaestus), Toby Kebbell (Argenor), and Rosamund Pike (Queen Andromeda). ‘Wrath of the Titans’ takes place a decade after the events of ‘Clash of the Titans,’ the story finds Perseus (Worthington) back in action when Zeus (Neeson) is captured by Ares (Ramirez) and Hades (Fiennes) in a plot to unleash the titans. The action-adventure flick is scheduled for a March 30th release.
Official synopsis for ‘Wrath of the Titans’: ”A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus—the demigod son of Zeus—is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld.”
