First Footage From The Set Of Thor – Starring Chris Hemsworth & Natalie Portman

The majority of this set visit report is filled up by an interview with Darth Vader’s baby mama (Natalie Portman) and Chris Hemsworth, you do get a good look at some of the stars in costume though, particularly Anthony Hopkins……If you judge your films by the beards involved, this looks like it will be a modern classic!
Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, “Thor,” which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth. Thor stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Josh Dallas, Tadanobu Asano, Idris Elba, Clark Gregg and Colm Feore. Thor is directed by Kenneth Branagh and set for release May 2011.
Another Great New Promotional Video For Toy Story 3 – Groovin’ With Ken

Pixar must be a great place to work, they seem to effortlessly churn out fun promotional videos weekly. This video for Ken – whose voiced by Michael Keaton, is the pick of a great bunch of Toy Story 3 promotional videos for me, it completely cracked me up. Check it out, hilarity WILL ensue.
The creators of the beloved “Toy Story” films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of our favorite gang of toy characters in “Toy Story 3.” As Andy prepares to depart for college, Buzz, Woody and the rest of his loyal toys are troubled about their uncertain future. Directed by Lee Unkrich (co-director of “Toy Story 2″ and “Finding Nemo”), “Toy Story 3″ is a comical new adventure in Disney Digital 3D that lands the toys in a room full of untamed tots who can’t wait to get their sticky little fingers on these “new” toys. It’s pandemonium as they try to stay together, ensuring “no toy gets left behind.” Meanwhile, Barbie comes face to plastic face with Ken (yes, that Ken).
New Predators Featurette – Danny Trejo As Cuchillo

Danny Trejo is always great as the ‘eat bricks and sh*t houses’ type bad ass. From the video below it looks like this could be one of his most bad ass roles to date. I’m really looking forward to Machete later this year as well, which is being directed by Robert Rodriguez and also stars Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba and Cheech Marin. The film stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they’ve been brought together on an alien planet… as prey. With the exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human “predators” that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators. In addition to Adrien Brody, the film stars Topher Grace, Alice Braga, and Laurence Fishburne. Co-starring are Walton Goggins, Danny Trejo, Oleg Taktarov and Mahershalalhashbaz Ali. Predators was written by Alex Litvak & Mike Finch based upon characters created by Jim Thomas & John Thomas. The producers are Robert Rodriguez and Elizabeth Avellàn.

This is really dumb but I’ve just realised that Alice Braga was in City Of God, as a man who loves that film, I’m disgusted with myself, yesterday I also realised that raisins are dried grapes, intelligence fail on my part! Anyway back to the point here’s a new Predators Featurette based around Alice Braga’s (I Am Legend, City Of God, Lower City) character Isabelle. Predators is in cinemas August 13th.
