New Image From ‘Your Highness’ – Starring James Franco, Danny McBride, Natalie Portman & Zooey Deschanel
Dec 20th
USA Today have got their hands on this new image from David Gordon Green‘s ‘Your Highness,’a medieval stoner comedy starring James Franco, Danny McBride, Natalie Portman, Zooey Deschanel and Justin Theroux….where do I sign up! This film has already cemented itself as my most anticipated comedy of 2011. Look out for this in cinemas April 8th, 2011.
Throughout history, tales of chivalry have burnished the legends of brave, handsome knights who rescue fair damsels, slay dragons and conquer evil. But behind many a hero is a good-for-nothing younger brother trying just to stay out of the way of those dragons, evil and trouble in general. Danny McBride and James Franco team up for an epic comedy adventure set in a fantastical world—Your Highness. As two princes on a daring mission to save their land, they must rescue the heir apparent’s fiancée before their kingdom is destroyed.
Mark Wahlberg Admits M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Happening’ Was A Bad Movie
Nov 22nd
Speaking at a press conference for his upcoming movie ‘The Fighter’, Mark Wahlberg hit the nail on the head by admitting how immensely sh*t M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Happening’ was (he wasn‘t quite that harsh). When asked to talk about his co-star Amy Adams, Wahlberg revealed that they had met previously for ‘The Happening’, which Adams eventually dropped out of and was replace by Zooey Deschanel:
‘I was such a huge fan of [Amy Adams]. We’d actually had the luxury of having lunch before to talk about another movie, and it was a bad movie that I did. She dodged the bullet. I don’t want to tell you what movie… All right, The Happening with M. Night Shyamalan. It is was it is. F*cking trees, man, the plants. F*ck it. You can’t blame me for wanting to try to play a science teacher. You know? I wasn’t playing a cop or a crook.’
I’ve got a lot of time for Mark Wahlberg, it’s rare to see an actor tell it how it is. ‘The Happening’ was a huge, steaming, smelly turd of a film if there ever was one, it made Shyamalan’s previous shit film, ‘Lady In The Water’ look like a masterpiece. Hats off to Wahlberg!

Thadeous (McBride) has spent his life watching his perfect older brother Fabious (Franco) embark upon valiant journeys and win the hearts of his people. Tired of being passed over for adventure, adoration and the throne, he’s settled for a life of wizard’s weed, hard booze and easy maidens. But when Fabious’ bride-to-be, Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel), gets kidnapped by the evil wizard Leezar (Justin Theroux), the king gives his deadbeat son an ultimatum: Man up and help rescue her or get cut off. Half-assedly embarking upon his first quest, Thadeous joins Fabious to trek across the perilous outlands and free the princess. Joined by Isabel (Natalie Portman)—an elusive warrior with a dangerous agenda of her own—the brothers must vanquish horrific creatures and traitorous knights before they can reach Belladonna. If Thadeous can find his inner hero, he can help his brother prevent the destruction of his land. Stay a slacker, and not only does he die a coward, he gets front row seats to the dawn of an all-new Dark Ages.

Liam Neeson Replaces Mel Gibson In Todd Phillips’ The Hangover 2
Oct 22nd
It looks like The Hangover 2 has found it’s cameo man in Liam Neeson, an actor I’m a massive fan of. Variety recently had a chinwag with Mr Neeson and here’s what he had to say:
“I just got a call to do a one day shoot on Hangover 2 as a tattooist in Thailand, and that’s all I know about it. I just laughed my leg off when I saw The Hangover, I was shooting in Berlin earlier this year and rented it on the hotel TV.”
Just yesterday it was reported that Mel Gibson had been dropped from his cameo as the tattoo artist in Todd Phillips’ The Hangover 2 due to a backlash at the studio and on the film set. Thehollywoodreporter is reporting that Bradley Cooper – who starred with Neeson in this summer’s “The A-Team” – was instrumental in getting Neeson the part. The Hangover 2, is due out May 26th, 2011 – expect some side splitting hilarity to ensue!
