New Image Of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone & Bruce Willis On ‘The Expendables 2′ Set

Arnold Schwarzenegger has tweeted the above image of himself, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis on the Bulgaria set of ‘The Expendables 2.’ According to reports Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis are reprising their roles from ‘The Expendables’ in a more “expanded” capacity with this sequel. Accompanying the image Schwarzenegger tweeted: “Back in action for The Expendables 2! I’m having a fantastic time on set with Bruce and Sly in Bulgaria.”
There’s currently no official word on what ass-kicking shenanigans the gang will be up to in the sequel. Alongside Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Willis, the film stars Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Liam Hemsworth and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Rumours are have also pointed towards Donnie Yen and John Travolta joining the fray. Lionsgate will once again release the Millennium Films-produced actioner. ’The Expendables 2′ is scheduled for a August 17th 2012 release date.

Hot the heels of news that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis have closed deals to reprise their roles from ‘The Expendables’ in a more substantial capacity in ‘The Expendables 2,’ Sylvester Stallone has now confirmed that he’s also added Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme to the mix and, fingers crossed, we may even see Nicolas Cage and John Travolta getting in on the mayhem too: “We’ll have a big showdown between me and Van Damme, which has been anticipated for a long time, so it should be a good one. We’ve got Chuck Norris and I think Nic Cage.”
On the subject of John Travolta joining the cast, Stallone had the following to say: “It’s possible. The one thing I’ve learned is what is a fact on Monday is a complete fallacy on Tuesday. A lot of it is scheduling. It’s not financial. It’s just that Bulgaria is definitely a jaunt. It’s a commitment, you know what I mean? Especially in the dead of winter.”

24 Frames bring word that Sylvester Stallone is not planning to either direct or write the sequel to his action-hero blockbuster ‘The Expendables.’ Stallone is reportedly meeting with a number of directors to take on the sequel, the original made $274.5 million in cinemas worldwide last year – big chee$e – so understandably it’s a top priority at producer Millennium Films.
The site report that the sequels script has been written by David Agosto and Ken Kaufman – Stallone and David Callaham wrote the original. There’s currently no word on what ass kicking shenanigans the gang will be up to in the sequel, rumours point towards Bruce Willis having a larger ‘super-villain’ role, however there’s no confirmation. Bruce Willis Sheds Some Light On His Involvement In ‘The Expendables 2′

Speaking to Yahoo at The Golden Globes Bruce Willis underhandedly confirmed that he will be appearing in The Expendables 2. The actor said: ‘As far as I know, barring any unforeseen circumstances, yeah, I would love to be a part of it.’
Rumour has it Willis is inline for a ‘super villain’ role. The actor also gave an update on when the filming of the sequel to the 2010 action-hero film starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren will take place: “Apparently it’s going to happen this year.”
